Wife's Tea Party Speech That Made The NY Times Website That Got Quoted by Rub and a Tug

I’m 43 years old and attend Eastern Oregon University. I will graduate soon. My biggest concern about the country today is the apparent refusal of our leaders to govern from the will of the people fiscally. They spend their time instituting socialistic policies that inhibit capitalistic growth and cause job loss.
From the healthcare debacle, that inhibits private insurance providing competitive services to the hindrance of the average American from participation in capitalistic endeavors like keeping their small businesses open; the government is making it difficult for the common man to grab the American dream . They’re spending America’s future on their porkulous projects while the working man and small business watches screaming. This kind of spending wastes resources and hampers recovery. It does not stimulate growth. It does not create the kind of jobs I am looking for after graduation.
Taxes are prohibitive and the debt keeps growing. Americans are losing their standard of living and it feels like all politicians do is thumb their noses while laughingly exclaiming let them eat cake. Like numerous Americans, I feel both parties are full of elitists. They have either never known or forgotten what it is like to struggle on the street level. The American taxpayer doesn’t mind helping those who need it but they balk at being forced to pay for the kinds of craziness both parties are involved in and passing through congress.
Most Americans buy their tissue on sale. We eat tuna noodle casserole a couple of times a week. Vacations consist of camping with the kids or saving for years . We don’t live like politicians on a spending spree. I’m struggling in statistics class but even I know we cannot continue this way for long. I am not sure the repubcrats or demicans either one truly understand that . It is my belief those in the Tea Party movement do. Finally, average Americans through the grassroots process have amassed enough participation to have our voices heard on fiscal policy and hopefully the movement helps politicians remember no matter which party they belong to that they answer to us for their vote and should return the governance of America to “We the People” where it belongs.

Then it got sourced...I am so proud!!!
