Funny The Things You See Sometimes

Today we went for a picnic in the nearby woods. Very nice it was too. The weather was really lovely.

While sitting at our picnic table we saw an old lady approaching.

There were two things that stood out.

First, she was carrying a white stick, obviously very blind indeed.

Second, she was taking her African Gray parrot for a walk!!

In all the many walks I have taken over the years (take note Mickey J), I have never run into a blind old lady with an African Gray parrot before!!

Funny the things you see sometimes isnt it??

Johnny Depp rolling up as Captain Jack Sparrow would have been kind of cool though.......cried Mrs J!!!

The blind lady was chatting to the parrot like they were long time companions. And I do believe these birds can live well into their 80's or 90's. Talk about a companion for life eh??
