Zappa was in a class of his own!

Indeed, Sir!

At 22 yrs old, Frank Zappa managed to get a slot on (what I believe) was one of the biggest prime time entertainment shows of the day, the Steve Allen Show, and declared to Steve that he was there because he could 'Play A Bike', and was going to demonstrate this with the help of the Steve Allen Show house band.

The sound was awful...Zappa was loving it.....And Steve Allen looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him up right there.

But all signs were pointing toward this guy who would turn out to be in a 'class of his own' !!
