Opera Widget Competition - Sample Code
By Thomas Fordthomas.ford. Wednesday, April 12, 2006 1:10:11 PM
Over on the Opera Widgets blog, we launched a competition to win a gaming machine so powerful that it might face bans in several countries.
To help inspire the creativity of widget developers, we posted some sample code to create a Sudoku widget.
But we have other resources to help you write your first widget. We have a step-by-step tutorial for novices. We also show you how to add flips, fade ins, and other animations. Once you've mastered your craft, feel free to borrow from our animation library to really pimp your widget.
With a little skill, luck and good code, you'll be sitting back with a brand spankin' new $6,000 computer. Happy coding.

Ban? Why? Where? It's very powerful, but why would a country ban it? Which countries?

Oh the irony of the Intel switch... PowerPC was smoking fast then, though. Goodbye Moto.

I read the tutorial, it's great I've already finished my first Widget even if i'm a dummy in programming.
