The winners of this year’s Webcuts.07 were chosen by the jury last Friday. It took many hours until we finally decided on the best clip in each category. Yet, it’s still top secret who the winners are, as we will announce them next Thursday, October 11th at the Webcuts.07 Awards. Many thanks to the members of the jury: Ludwig von Reiche/ mental images, Prof. Susanne Mayer/ HDM Stuttgart, Prof. Ulrich Weinberg/ HFF Potsdam, Sven Assmann/ interface!berlin, Katrin Holetzeck/ Eastside Film and Andy Polaine (both absent).
Just 3 days up to the submission deadline of Webcuts.07. Again we will have professional software packages from Mental Images, Adobe, Avid and Mainconcept valued of several thousand euro. And a new sponsor: Ableton will sponsor there music software Live too! Thanx.
Last year the Blender foundation "Orange Studio" gets a special award for their movie "Elephants Dream". Now the Blender foundation is planning a new movie based on a new team called "Paech Studio". So we can hope of another fine open source 3d animation.
