Greetings,
As you may know, I've created quite a few logo and picture files to be used with Strat-O-Matic Baseball. Visitors who play other simulations are welcome to download anything they find interesting. The Strat-O-Matic community has certainly benefited from the generosity of other game communities. I am delighted if this site provides a way to reciprocate.
I have an interest in baseball cards. For that reason, my picture/alias files will emphasize the baseball cards available in a given year. My first year of collecting cards was 1961. (I sold them to my mother about 5 years later and she burned them. Who knew?) The picture/alias file for 1961 will emphasize cards that were available in 1961. For this reason, I'll tend to look back to find cards of players for a season. If I can't find a card by looking through previous years, then I'll look for the earliest available card.
I will take some liberties in reworking cards. For example, if/when I do the 1960 season, the cards for that season were printed with a horizontal format. I'll reformat the cards without distorting the primary photograph, enabling them to work with the vertical format used by the game.

I am a Christian. Over the last few weeks--and particularly going through the Easter season--I've been thinking quite a bit about my faith and why I believe what I do. I've expressed my thoughts in the document below.

These sets are incomplete. I've posted them because there might be some people interested in having pictures from these seasons. If all goes well, these photo packs should be completed during the summer of 2011. I REPEAT THAT THESE SETS ARE INCOMPLETE--THERE ARE A LOT OF MISSING PICTURES.

Dan has created a Picture Set and Alias file to accompany Strat-O-Matic's Hall of Fame set. This is a very high-quality set and I believe will be popular with the community. Thanks, Dan, for sharing it with us.

Alias file for 1946-86--uploaded 2-11-11
I now have created photo sets for a continuous run of seasons from 1946 to 1986, inclusive. Those who use my photo sets can save a considerable amount of time by just downloading this single alias file and pasting those lines into your alias file. This means that you don't have to paste the lines for individual seasons. Even if you don't own all of these seasons, there is no reason that you can't have additional seasons' lines in your alias file or additional seasons' pictures in your photo files.
1946-1986 alias 2-11-11.txtThere have been some posts on the Strat-O-Matic Fan Forum from persons who are thinking about creating photo sets. To facilitate this, I am making available my alias file. This file contains lines for many seasons for which there are no existing photo sets. I recommend copying the lines for a season you want from this file and pasting them into your alias file.
DO NOT USE THE ENTIRE FILE. I have not, for example, created the 2007 season photo set. If you use this file, the pictures will not appear when you are playing a game from 2007. There also may be some errors in the lines for the seasons that I have not created. The lines, however, should be very close and should save you quite a bit of time in creating your own picture pack. If I would be redoing this, I'd put the lines in alphabetical order by team and then alphabetize the players within a team.
