Walking again...

Found some old music at my Dad's studio that I used to listen to while I painted over there. Borrowed it to put on my MP3 player to take on walks. If you've never heard "Canciones de Mi Padre" by Linda Ronstadt you need to give it a listen. Ok you can stop laughing and expand your mind a little. It's like having a really good Mexican dinner. You just want to kick off your shoes and take a siesta on the couch afterwards. My favorite is prolly (That’s Southeast Texan for probably) Dos Arbolitos. (That’s Spanish for taking two siestas on the couch consecutively) That means another one following the one at the start of both of the two of them.
My Dad, now semi-retired until he goes back to work every morning unless he's off doing stuff until they call him again. Yeah it is confusing. Well Dad is an artist as well. He does Rockwellish story paintings using friends and families as models like Rockwell did, but with more color like Disney. Another of his heroes. He might just as easily worked for Disney if things had gone a little differently. Google Randy Welborn and he'll pop up. Bob Phillips did a Texas Country Reporter on his work when I worked with him a few years ago. Of course Bob couldn't come down here himself.(Too many mosquitoes)Sent his second unit crew to do his bidding in The Big Thicket. (Goggle that one too)
I'm on a quest to loose weight. Or maybe it's a wait to loose questions? Any how. As it begins to cool again, and it is...sorta. Almost 89 degrees today-just about had to dig out my long johns. That's F not C. I aint usin' no foreign units of measuring heat. It just don't sound hot enough. Hot is 100 or 102. With 90 to 100% humidity. Those are real numbers. No Celcius-schmelcius for me, I want to feel it see it and hear that it's hot. 112-that's a hot number. Well temperatures aside I have started walking again which brings me back to the music for walking that I picked up from my Dad' place, He's and artist you know, and Dos Arbolitos means "two means of measuring temperature"
And... and...
Google that.
