Here is a Windows Media file of an animation I compiled of some things I've done this past year. The red balls bouncing are a test of particle generation and deflectors in 3DS Max. See if you can spot where the particle deflectors didn't quite cover the object and let the balls bounce right through, I just hate it when that happens. Positioning the deflectors are really quite a pain. The flailing figure is a biped dummy textured with a procedural noise. Others are tests of modeling in Max using displacement mostly. The Sci-Fi shots I was testing timing and atmosphere.
Lastly another VisualBacon.com animated kaleidoscope texture. The kaleidoscope effect is a scene I set up in 3DS Max that works like a real kaleidoscope. I can just exchange the texture and render the scene again creating this type of file that loops. If you would be interested in a 3DS scene set up like this let me know. I'm thinking of putting it in the Gravy folder on The Basics Bundle 2 DVD. Of course that would enable other artists to create their own animated kaleidoscope textures but it isn't something that took years to develop. Maybe I could post it in my 3DGurus Group for the members.
The music with the animation is a short sample of a piece called "Visions" by Caden Welborn's from his first album "Equinox". Now available for download at CadenWelborn.com Caden is my son, just turned 15 and an amazing keyboardist. This first release has Piano works in his "bitter sweet" style and melodic-techno-dance tracks as in the animation file (shameless plug)Caden also just released a Christmas collection that you simply must check out and download. The tracks on Christmas Rain are traditional favorites and the original peice "Christmas Rain" written for the collection.

You will love this music. To purchase and download his music is only 99 cents per track.(shameless plug number 2)
Also if you're in the Christmas giving mood he has a donate button on the site with explainations of his health situation. He is getting better but the medical bill continue to mount as anyone knows fighting diseases ain't cheap.
Check these out and let me know what you think.
