Up Late

One cry of the Left is that Republicans in general are offering no “NEW” ideas. The problems with governing this country although intricate and varied are not new in nature. The answers can be found in Reagan’s speeches of decades past. Yes, it is the “old mantra” Smaller government, Less Taxes. No that’s not new but yes it is still the best way to get where America’s economy healthy again.



The constitution is not new. Yes it has had amendments and may yet have more but it should not be tossed out because it was not followed as closely as it should have been and government got off track. Dems should stop blaming Capitalism for failing Americans when the problems with the economy have come from Dems and Republicans playing around with socialism instead sticking to Capitalism.



A strong majority of this country believe in a Christian work ethic. The anger of the T.E.A. parties is not aimed at lost jobs or bad economy. Listen to what they are saying. It sounds very familiar. “We are Taxed Enough Already” in other words “Less taxes” The Tea Party was angry before they were ignored time and time again at the town halls. The People were being ignored for years by those in congress, hence the results of approval rating polls.



Christians give. In fact it is in our instruction manual for life as a Christian. It is not the role of government to take by force and “spread the wealth” to those that need it. God set the church up to receive offerings and help the needy. They’ve done that very well for centuries. No that’s not a new idea but it is the best way to help the needy. Time and again those that have the most usually give the most. Here's a good article on that.



The government doesn’t need to take more from those that have more. God Himself knows what a fifth grader knows. 10% of $1,000,000 will feed a whole lot more than 10% of $10,000. Also, someone smart enough to make $2,000,000 from $1,000,000 should get rewarded so he can make even more because 10% of 4,000,000 is way more than 10% of 1,000,000. Man, God is smart. Why can’t congress and he president take a few moments to read the story of the talents and then take it to heart. Yes it is a tale of spiritual meaning but works for business as well.


It works.
And it’s not new.
