I have to add a few shots here, since nature arranged quite a 3 day show to me. This time I had even my gear with me!

We had quite a low subzero temperatures for the first time this winter during new year. And as I was driving route by the lake shore I spotted quite a cool nature's very own ice-sculpture show down the waterfront. Wind had blowed from open waters and had covered everything with a thick ice coating and everything seemed crystallized. From tinyest branch and straw to fullgrown trees everything had coating and in the bright sunshine everything glowed and sparkled. Sunlight turned into spectrum because ice worked as prism.

Next day, again when I was driving I managed to spot probably the nicest halo I've ever seen. From 22 degree halo, circumzenithal arch and light pillar to parrhelion etc, the whole bunch. Unfortunately I was not able to pull over and start shooting the best scene, but I had to drive slightly further to be able to stop and start shooting.

Again next day, I spotted one of the most colourful sunsets I've ever seen. Whole sky varied from bloodred to deep purple.

Winter 2009 had quite a start for myside. Let's see what nature has to offer when/if winter REALLY starts.
