Wisey's Wonders of the World

random stuff that came to mind...

Free Stuff Galore!

I have found a site that gives away free ipods, iphones and macbooks as well as £100 and £500 amazon vouchers.

Basically, it works using referral bonuses.

You sign up to freebiejeebies for free and are given a choice of offers. When you complete the offer, the company who the offer was for pays freebiejeebies a referral bonus.

Some of their offers are not free, such as "join this online betting site, deposit $10 and play it"
others are free such as the offer that i chose, "join netflix, sign up for a 2-week free trial and rent at least 1 DVD."

Once you have completed an offer you then refer your friends to do the same. For each friend who joins and completes and offer you get approx $30 in credit towards a gift. So, if you want an ipod that is $250 you need to get 8 friends to join and complete an offer. If you want an ipod shuffle that is $55 you need 2 referrals. If you want a macbook air that is $1979 you only need 50 referrals (works out at almost $40 per referral)

I used facebook to tel my friends about it and got 12 referrals within 2 weeks. I cashed in 7 of these to get an free ipod video 80gb which I now use every day. My ipod was sent direct from amazon.com.

If you have 12 referrals and you use 7 for an ipod, the remaining 5 can still be used toward another gift and you never need to complete another offer. I have received NO spam from this company and I have to say they have the fastest and most helpful customer service team of ANY company I have ever dealt with online.

Highly recommended.

To sign up and get your free ipod/iphone/macbook, please use this link:

http://apple.freebiejeebies.co.uk/16914

All the free gifts on this site are apple related. Their sister site has other gifts such as £500 amazon vouchers. The concept is the same, to check it out click this link:

http://consoles.freebiejeebies.co.uk/50049

I have already received a free ipod and have almost enough referrals for another. Two of my friends have also received free gifts from this company.

NB - Please do not sign up to this site without using a referral link. It is a waste. If you do not want to use my referral link that's fine but please use somebody else's instead. If you do not use a referral link to sign up, you gain nothing but whoever you could've used loses a referral. Only the site wins and they are already raking it in!

Free AT&T Wireless

This is a great little loophole I found for those of you that use your laptops out and about and need to get online.

AT&T provide wireless inernet access from thousands of locations around th USA and tens of thousands around the world.
Usually, access to this service costs $10+/month unless you have an AT&T account at home.

This service is available for FREE!

Starbucks has a loyalty card that you can get and put money on and use to buy coffe and stuff and starbucks. The card has a rewards program. One of the rewards currently available is a FREE subscription to the AT&T wireless service.

This is provided as AT&T is the chosen provider of most Starbucks locations. It is meant to be used in Starbucks for up to 2 hrs each day. It says that it will not work at roaming locations.

We have been using it for a couple of months and have tested it:

- At starbucks for more than 2 hours - my wife used it in starbucks for 4 hrs at a time on 2 occasions.

- In non-Starbucks locations - I used it at San Francisco Airport using the T-Mobile wireless and roaming as an AT&T member.

Basically all you have to do is get a Starbucks card for FREE, add a few dollars to it and use them to buy a coffee (or something else) in Starbucks at least once every 30 days. Register your card online and sign up for the rewards program and then sign up for the AT&T wireless in the rewards section.

You then have FREE wireless in and around almost all Starbucks and McDonalds and many airports and other locations around the country.

(OK its not 100% free as you have to buy a coffee or a biscuit once a month but that $3 is not paying for the internet it's paying for the coffee!)

Uncyclopedia: Alternative Medicine

Just found a link to a highly amusing site.

http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

The site is described as "Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia that anyone can edit."

The featured article for today has been copied here as an example:

Alternative Medicine is a broad term describing those things which differ from actual medicine, which is hopelessly unhip and square. There are many fields of alternative medicine. None of them are quite as healthy as you putting the bong down and getting some fresh air and exercise, but what are the odds of that happening?

Inacupuncture: An offshoot of acupuncture. It differs from its parent discipline in that acupuncturists believe in lines of invisible force called chi which flow throughout the body. Inacupuncturists believe in jabbing people with sharp objects. Many people swear by this technique, saying that after people have finished jabbing them, they begin to feel much better. In recent years, some inacupuncturists have experimented with long distance inacupuncture, using high powered needle guns with telescopic sights. The results have been described as "disappointing".

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to learn, doubles as a sexual fetish, they won't be able to make a canoe out of you.
Cons: Hurts. A lot.
