Everything is Permuted

Tales of a South Downs fox... and other ramblings

A day of surprises...

, , , , ,

A kestrel stopped by early this morning

And a long-tailed tit posed graciously at lunchtime

The cattle were grazing

...grazing

A pair of mistle thrushes appeared

A green woodpecker joined the fun

And another flew by...

And so there were two

One then flew off into the distance...

While the female made friends with a rabbit!

And finally a sheep appeared at the top of the hill

Darko, yes they seemed completely at ease. It's not a spot I get to that often, but I may head back over there.

Thanks Adele... it was one of those days when everything is just so easy. I just strolled around and the photos appeared in front of me.

Jill, thanks! I took a number of shots similar to that one. The early morning light really helped bring out th ecolours.

Mark, the long-taileds are absurdly cute. I think it's because they're so round and have such tiny beaks.
