DunnockThe sky was remarkably clear of raptors today, or maybe that was because my eyes were focused nearer the ground. I caught a glimpse of this next beauty as I was heading back after a lunchtime walk. I probably have seen them before, but it's something I've never managed to photograph. It came to rest just beyond a wire fence, flitted around and finally settled more or less with a clear line of sight.
Brimstone butterfly I also saw a peacock (butterfly), as well as rabbits. Rabbits everywhere, young ones and adults. In one wooded area I was looking around their warren and a head popped up out of a hole, saw me and ducked back down again. A perfect shot missed, but a great moment. I did eventually get some shots out by the fields.

Eh, brimstones. You were lucky that it settled - it took me numerous futile chases before I found a cooperative one on Saturday
