Tales of a South Downs fox... and other ramblings

More deer, and a mistle thrush

,

The drizzle has barely stopped of late, and the best of the weather is seemingly reserved for the early morning.

Once again the deer were out grazing.

It was overcast when I took that shot, but a few minutes later I had the rarest of sights... a glimpse of sunshine.

The light didn't last and once again I was left to struggle with the overcast morning light. An unusually bold mistle thrush was out looking for worms in the sodden ground.

Very interesting view point in the dder photo. I would be happy to trade some sunshine for such clear deer sightings!

Lois, the deer were in the middle of a large field that is shaped rather like a bowl, so I was looking down towards them.

I don't think Opera has been working well lately. Anyway, fortunately the photos are showing. Glad you found a little sunshine! Always good to see a mistle thrush smile

Adele, it's more showers than sunshine on the coast now, but at least the relentless rain has moved away.
