Tales of a South Downs fox... and other ramblings

Pollen Count

, ,

The insects are busy pollinating. We have more hover-flies in the garden than I can ever recall, and the bees are out in large number. Just a few shots from today.
Hover-fly on a rose gall

It was a bee, though, that really caught my eye. It was bathing itself in the hibiscus, so much so it could barely fly!

Plenty of fox activity as well... These are from last night.

We have the same type of thing with our Hybiscus. The bees really get loaded down.
Our's are just starting to come into bloom. So you are a bit ahead of us there!
The foxes are just so special! I love every one of your shots.

That bee! Greediest animal in the garden, I should think!

It's great to see the interactions of the vixens smile

Richard, the bee was certainly very pleased with its find!

Darko, definitely agree!

Robin, thanks. Bees certainly gorge themselves on the mallow family, though most of them tend to stick to the lavender.

Adele, the vixens are a joy when they're together like like.
