Tales of a South Downs fox... and other ramblings

Brighton Beach

, , ,

I very rarely make it down to Brighton Beach, but it's well worth a visit especially on days like today when the sun is shining and the winds are gentle.

Late in the day I also saw a flock of cormorants flying over the sea, in a perfect V formation. Th ephotos not great (I only had a short lens with me), but to add a touch of wildlife, here it is.

Love the feeding frenzy photo, although it's probably not quite so good to see that sight in person yikes

Darko, it's an easy equation: 1 x Food = 100 x Gull

Adele, they were getting close... I did spot one flying off with an ice-cream cone!

Looks like you had a nice day. The "Feed Frenzy" photo is something else! You really have a natural talent for getting photos of images that our eyes don't quite see, because the movement is so quick.

Cynthia, thanks! With the gulls it was just a matter of firing the camera and hoping for the best. They were flapping all around me!

Brighton is such an amazing place and i have very happy memories with Rosie there, we even found a crazy golf course! yes Those 2p/10p machines are sometimes addictive especially when there are small prizes in them. ( i tend to go for the 2p machines only as i spend less!) bigsmile

Mark, those 2p/10p machines are addictive, but next time you're there if you look closely there's a ledge in the front centre of the pile of coins so even though it looks like they are all about to tip over, they're not! scared

Wow thanks for the tip, they try and make u spend more when theres no chance of the 2p's falling out yet how naughty lol!
