There's also a village pond (no English village is complete without one).
Wildlife was notable by its absence (which is par for the course at the moment). This is a good spot for kestrels and sparrowhawks, but all I managed was a jackdaw and a caterpillar (which I've so far failed to identify).
And that's about it. Not a sign of anything in the garden so far this evening.
Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens, except the caterpillar which was taken with the EF 100mm f/2.8L macro IS USM lens.
