Fox #2 update

Tonight I decided to stay inside and watch. Better for the fox, plus it's raining quite heavily out there. Sure enough fox #2 soon put in an appearance. It must have been able to see me at the window (the camera flash is a dead give-away), but it was tolerant enough to let me fire off 12 shots through the glass over a period of several minutes. At least it didn't bolt as it used to do.
It's far too dark to expect anything decent from the photos at that distance, so these are all heavily cropped and lightened.

No sign of fox #1 though since November 28th. He's disappeared for a couple of weeks or so in the past, so we're still keeping an eye out for him. If he's paired off with a vixen he'll most likely be staying very close to her, and as it's the female who is territorially dominant he'll be hanging out in her garden
Meanwhile, here's the last shot I got of Fox #1

Glad you like the pictures. The foxes in the wallpapers are the one I'm now calling Fox #1 (the dog fox), or one of the cubs (his son) who visited a lot in the summer.
There's a photo of them together here.
