IRELAND MORE MUSICALLY THAN THE REST OF EUROPE.........!?

From 2001 tell 2003 a study into the breeding Biology of the SONG THRUSH in the extreme South West of IRLAND became. Of a hundred nest date are collected.
The Breeding starts in the middle of March and finished by the end of June. Only 3% of the examined nest were third breed.
The first breeding counted more and more juv than then second.

The most of nest, 73% counted 3 up to 4 juv. The number of eggs that in the nest lay was in April higher than in June.
The number of on the wing gives births were average 3.7 it was striking however, that breeds from the north and the west of the line, dit have more eggs than these from the South.

The same geograplical difference translated, also in the number of on the wing birds.
The differences with other European populations but also with Britisch, can be attrubuted to liss intensive agricultural pollution, which are conducted in Irland.

The Irish populatie is probalble, data befor 1998, and have not been well, clear and, if there a full determination, then these remain the ?????
The Irich landscape is terrible and complex, but offers to the Song Thruch an excellend habitat.

The type has to suffer only from the predatie of Crow's.
Much mote than of mammals....all this is real nice in these times....

A TALE WITH FUTURE.........SLENDER BILLED CURLEW QUEST !

They are pretty birds. We do well for thrushes here, having all four British species. I like watching mistle thrushes defending their berry patch. They're so noisy!
