I do remember In 1978, I spotted a "Spotted Sandpiper" In "Bre dunne" France, and reported my observation to the loal birdwatching club,In less than 20 min there were more than 40 birdwatchers on the site,this was Indeed at the time a second observation of this species for there country. After two hours were several birders from Belgium and even from Germany on the site to have a look, this species has be on this site 4 days,and In this time more than 250 birders have seen the SPOTTED SANDPIPER.
