UNEVEN FIGHT ????

At the foot of the Swiss Jura, involve the Common White throat and Red Backed Shrike, 75% there have the same habitat this is a territorial conflict.

Each time It Is the white throat, that gets the worst.... I will be beaten and have to resort to rape fields.

This obviously has a negative effect on the breeding of this warbler. The warbler leave the area, were in the past there had multiple breeding these now are only 2 breeding common white throat birds breeding.

This occupations by different species, but equal on habitats, is a not only standing issue, more and more, where two species compete for the same area, there Is a struggle.

One can say the same for the Tawny owl and the long eared owl, as they inhabit Is the same area, one must leave the area.
And so there are multiple occurrences.

Nature is Beautiful but also has problems with irs residents....

THERE IS STILL A FUTURE FOR CHLIDONIAS NIGER!>>>>>> DID YOU NOW..........?

Interspecific competition! I think it's common for people to underestimate its importance. And it's sometimes not clear how it works; badgers seem to strongly influence fox numbers through competition, but it's hard to see exactly how that happens.

Nature doesn't have a problem with anything but man.

Is birds attack a people ? smile

I am going to have to agree with Linda on this one. Could it be that the one species was introduced where it should not be. Nature normally creates it's own boundaries and lays down it's own rules. Please let me know if this is a normal or abnormal occurrence with these birds.
Have a great weekend.

Zamboyzamboy Wednesday, July 7, 2010 3:17:35 PM

Don't you think it's nature's way, Erwin, I mean competing for food and habitat and even mate, not just on birds but also humans, animals ans even insects?

Adrianreloaded Wednesday, July 21, 2010 9:04:43 AM

I spent some time in Bucharest this summer. They brought many years ago seagulls in the parks with big lakes, like the Titan park. This year their behavior is very strange. They make a lot of noise, and there are sounds I've never heard. Aggressive and unreal. You could think it's horror movie.

Adrianreloaded Wednesday, July 21, 2010 9:16:04 AM

The ducks there have no problem, usual behavior. But the seagulls are crazy. If someone is hearing that noise for the first time, wouldn't think the birds are doing it.

Adrianreloaded Wednesday, July 21, 2010 2:28:31 PM

I don't know what's wrong with them... Time will show.

Nice tym

ERWINWulpen Friday, October 19, 2012 7:30:44 PM

Adele, Yes it is, but the last ten years we see an evolution, which showed that species with similar habitats and food chains are increasingly competing, therefore fatal for the weakest, cause a shortage of breeding areas with sufficient food.

ERWINWulpen Friday, October 19, 2012 7:30:44 PM

Linda true but I am very polite in my expression... have a lovely day

ERWINWulpen Friday, October 19, 2012 7:30:44 PM

irczas NO I mean these two species, but several species of birds are indeed can be very dangerous ans may attack humans, thank you for your comment

ERWINWulpen Friday, October 19, 2012 7:30:44 PM

Hi Nitro, Nature has its pros and cons, here Is a study that was done In that area, and where after five years the consequences have seen that two species in the same habitat are now longer able to survive if similar food source and breeding habitat. So thats the problem... Thank you for the comment, have a supper Weekend

ERWINWulpen Friday, October 19, 2012 7:30:44 PM
