My Unpredictable Mind

Since the beginning of time, there have been families, in one form or another. If you google the word "family" you will get 1,740,000,000 search results. What does this say about society?

So many people I know have found a partner, got married, had kids, raised them, then died. This seems like an endless cycle that can not be broken. Since I am a woman I am expected to do such, have kids. While I am not totally against having children, and I am not saying that is a bad thing to do, I wonder what else there really is to life. Many people have successful relationships without marriage or children, yet society seems to think that that is strange or taboo. Is it really so strange to not want to be just a machine in which to continue an endless cycle, possibly bringing more people in which to kill the planet, kill themselves, or kill others?

In the older days, people lived for honor, they had a reason to fight, they had a reason to live. But do we really have any reason to live nowadays other than selfish reasons or just to breed? Some may think that there is honor, that there is organization in this world, and that we have somehow become more civilized, but I say that is a piece of bull. Why do we fight nowadays? What do we stand for? We fight for anger, for emotions, and how does that do us any good? We do not stand for anything anymore because the government tells us what we can and cannot stand for.

Once this earth was peaceful, people fought for what was right, the simplest of things was cherished, not taken for granted. I know alot of people could argue with this point. I know alot of people would say that there is nothing better than giving birth and watching children grow, that family is the best thing in the world. Everybody has opinions, this is mine.
