I have been looking through the latest Vanity Fair. It is their annual issue about the environment, the "Green Issue." This is a particularly long issue (let us pause for a moment to mourn all those trees that had to die to produce this magazine's 318 pages) and I haven't finished reading it but I can already see what Vanity Fair is trying to say.
This is the face of the anti-environmental movement...
...and this is the face of the environmental movement.
I don't know. Angry white male who wants global warming or hip white male who exclusively dates supermodels. (Why? Because he can.)
Looks like a tough call to me.
when i told my friend we could stop GW she said:
NO. you need a theory update from the US. there is a theory that global
warming is partly a natural cause, and that the earth goes in cycles.
kind of like there is a real warm period, then it gets colder and we're
in an ice age. then, it is warm again and we have global warming. then
it gets cold again and so on. some scientists think that we r coming u
to the tip of the global warming period, and in a couple hundred yrs,
the earth will start getting cold a gain. this is only a theory so
don't go on and argue that its 100% false. this is what i meant by "i
wish we could stop it". its not in all the worlds power to stop a
natural cause, no matter how hard we try. we'd end up killing our
and so i replied...
i see your point, but, TECHNICALLY people arent trying to STOP stop gw(global warming). we are trying to stop it from getting too severe! because "theories" say that North Dakota will feel like Kansas City, thats not that bad, BUT think about where I am! its hotter than houston summers practically! last week it was 100 degrees F! REALLY. think about how much HOTTER it will get here!! and "global warming" is like the "codename" for all the enviornmental problems the world is having, like de-forestation, drought, flooding, loss of underground fossil fuels, too many fuel emissions, animals near extinction ( i.e., polar bears are getting their place on the threatened, and some tiger speices are endangered) and ect. its stupid to lump them all together, especially because they are so different, but people do that because they are not educated about each topic.
Who do you think is right? Me or my friend? (No offence will be taken, i just was wondering)
Check out the "2nd annual green issue" of Vanity Fair Magazine with Leonardo DiCaprio on the front, its all about our eco issues!
