birthday, life
It's the 1st of November, and my birthday

The biggest birthday so far for my part, since I'm now an adult through the eyes of law. It feels very strange.
What's even more strange is that no one's home. I haven't received a single phone call other than from far away relatives.
Not even the cat's home! I'm fearing they may be up to something...
Oh, and it's also the official first birthday of my blog today

paris, birthday, holiday, school
...
Today is exactly
one week until I turn 18. A magic number, since it means that I will be able to vote in national elections, get a driving license, handle my own money without my parent's supervision, and loads of other things that I can't today. Summed up, it's the biggest milestone in my life so far. Excitement!
Other than that, I've been terribly busy in school. This week I have five tests and hand- ins, and then I have to prepare for the
School Tests in Navigation, Principles of Flight and Operations right after the holiday next week.
That brings us to the holiday. As usual I have very high ambitions with a trip to Paris and a birthday party on the agenda. I'll try to do some flying this weekend before heading back to the town of my childhood on Sunday or Monday. Then I'll grab a flight to Paris as quick as possible.
div9William and I are having very big ambitions for the next version that we're currently working on. I don't want to say too much other than that the concept is brand new and that we're considering making it international. Just know that we're working on it - we're getting together on the holiday for some serious planning. If you have any ideas or wishes, please let me know!

Now I'm back to
Opera's Halloween Competition. Read about it on the front page. Addictive, I'm telling ya.
Edit: Found 'em all

life, summer, movies, mother
...
Man, it's incredible. We're experiencing a heat wave unlike any other. I'm reading 34°C on our thermometer, and it's situated in the shadow. The air's all misty, and it's incredibly moist which makes the heat feel even more intense.
Tip of the day: drink water.
Loads of it. And eat salt.
Fortunately, our house is prepared for stuff like this. Half of it is underground, so it stays cool in the winter and somewhat warmer in the winter. Thanks to the smart engineering, I'm not dead before I should.
The heat makes me think of
global warming. Personally, I don't mind it getting a few degrees warmer and the ozone layer getting thinner. Tans, people.
Tans! Ok, seriously. It's no good at all. At least I'm doing my best, using public transportation and turning off the lights when I leave the bathroom. Sustainable? Well... at least the latter will be true after I turn 18.
The descent |
IMDbI saw this movie yesterday with a couple 'ol friends. My anticipations were high indeed, I have a terrible claustrophobia (at least when imagining getting trapped in a small underground tunnel). However, I was a bit disappointed. It started out quite good, reached a climax around halftime, and then it just didn't keep up. The end was rather unexpected too (
I know you want to, but I won't tell you). On the whole it was quite good though, so give it a shot.
Oh, and it's my mother's birthday today.
Happy birthday
(oh, how I wanted a cake there instead)There has been talks about some kind of party tonight. Not for my mother, but at a friend's house. I'll have to look into it. Two friends have just recently got back after a year in the US, hopefully they'll be there.
Off for some strawberries.
Take care
