Everyone's away.

, , , ...

Time for some complaining. I've been alone practically all day long. Not because I've wanted to though, but because everyone else's having something to do. Wether it's falling in love, dating, bathing, you name it. Everyone's busy. I feel so left out, and in turn haven't done anything. Oh right, I've been playing really loud music and trying to do some designing, but inspiration has been anywhere but present.

Tomorrow work starts again. I'm so very not motivated (have I been for the past week?) and just want to go somewhere where people aren't so damn busy. A new MacBook is what keeps me going. It doesn't seem too far out of reach though.

Something I have been doing today as well is to arrange some music, actually. Take Me Away by Oasis is coming along quite nicely. I love the song, and it's as William says - it's so good when others sing it. I have very special memories of it.

Aha! Just found The DaVinci Code | IMDb on DVD next to our TV. Now at least I have something to watch... in my loneliness... all by myself...

094. Celine Dion - [Falling Into You #06] All By Myself

Kisses to her. Oh, and kisses to you.

Note to self:
Stop complaining.

Update: CRAP!! I was fooled. Wrong movie. It was Babar (who btw is pure evil)

Update #2: I found a substitute - Runaway Bride | IMDb. I love Julia Roberts.

The job - Day 1.

, , , ...

So, the first day at my 'new' job is over.

Impressions? It's the same place I left 1½ years ago.
How many contracts did you sell? *censored*
Will you go back tomorrow? Eeh, yeah. I have to. *MacBook*

I found myself using Google Spreadsheets quite extensively today. It really is a good service, but you won't realize until you need to make a spreadsheet and don't have Excel. Like if you work on a call- center and have to hack the computer just in order to launch Internet Explorer, odds aren't that high.

I'm starting to think that my manager might not be such an arse as I believed him to be in the beginning too. He was quite nice to me today actually, bringing me coffee and and giving me a foot massage.

...

Ok, not the last one.

I've also found that the best kick- off in the morning is a big cup of coffee and a good playlist on the mp3.

Here's what I had on my playlist this morning:

  1. Velvet Revolver - Do It For The Kids (The song of the day.)
  2. Beatfreakz - Somebody's Watching Me (Some techno remix. Really good.)
  3. Helena Paparizou - Mambo (I know, I know. But it's catchy.)
  4. Oasis - Cast No Shadow (I can't leave home without Oasis.)
  5. Akcent - Kylie (This song reminds me of various nights out...)
  6. Mama Cass - It's Getting Better (Oh yes it is.)
  7. Pickled Dick - Bore (Ok Matt, you've got me. This is really good shit.)
  8. Oasis - Don't Look Back In Anger (Again, Oasis.)

Right now, I have a desperate need for some Goldfrapp. And I probably will have tomorrow too. That being said, Goldfrapp is added to my list-of-artists/songs-to-remember-to-add-for-tomorrow's-playlist. Got any other suggestions? I find these playlists great to explore new kinds of music, so give it away.

Oh, my mother's made me some tea and sandwiches. She can be so sweet at times (I wonder what the catch is). I'll go eat those now.

Take care.

The job.

, , , ...

Finally, I've got myself a job. As a phone contract salesman at a local company I will be stationed in front of a computer all days, with a nifty little headset and hopefully a happy customer on the other end. I've done it before at the same company, so I'm not a complete newbie. And besides, it's good money.

Money that I'll need, for my precious HP laptop has met its end. Now my eyes are set on the Apple MacBook. It's got good performance, it's small and oh so sweet lookin'. And not to mention, it's an Apple. And they do good stuff.

I found today that I have loads of strange music in my music library. I mean, where does the theme song from X- Files come from? It's exciting though, because I never know what the shuffle will pick next.

I'm starting to get used to all the great new functionality the new version of Opera has to offer. Or well, I think most of it was featured in the earlier versions, it's just that I never took the time to explore it before.

I'm off for dinner now. Tomorrow's the first day at work though, so I'll keep you updated. Oh, and I really need to install Opera on my USB stick... they're kind of IE exclusive at the company, but I won't.

Cheers.
