In Mexico there are many people from many parts of the world, including people from central and south america, many of the came here because it is in the way to the USA, but stay, because they couldn't make it to the border, or may be because they find a way of living here.
In the mid and late 90's a lot of people came from Brazil and Argentina, I remember having brazilian classmates when in Junior high, but due to the lack of compatibility of the education systems they where far older, I was 14 years and them were 18 (ready to college) it was nightmare to them (I guess)
Also we see the opening of brazilian restaurants in the city, and the opening of Capoeira schools (this is one of the schools) they perform in public every weekend, why?, I don't know. The students are mexican, and they need to learn fight, dance, sing, and to play an instrument.
Mexico is now playing at the America Cup, which is not the USA cup, is of the continent (the entire continent is America) before this our national team was playing at the Gold Cup which is for North America (From Canada to Panama, so it is not only the USA either) on the Gold Cup Mexico get to the finals, which is always great, but it lose against the USA (why o why!!!???) with an ending score of 2-1
Now in the begining of the America Cup many of mexican "stars" went mad agains the trainer of the team (Hugo Sanchez, very arrogant) so they decided no to play, and other star get hurt and couldn't play either. Mexico beat Brazil (world cup five times champion) with a score of 2-0
This made me angry more than proud... why? well that shows that Mexico was capable of beating the USA an be Gold Cup champion, once more, and also because, our "so called" stars in soccer are really old and like to be treated like divas, they are not worthy, and the trainer should seek for newcomers so they could play in the cups that are important but not as much as the world cup, youg guys, so they get international experience and be ready to the World Cup and in that way avoid 40 years old Diva players in our team.
It a late post, but since in my country we where in elections the world cup was forgotten for a fe minutes (a day).
I love it!! Brazil is out, I have nothing against brazilians but in this way we have a good incognite final, not another "Brazilian World Cup", Portugal a big surprise, even France and Italy, nobody expected them to go that far.
Because of that, this is a great World Cup, sorry for you Germans, you where my favorites to get the cup, after mexico of course (hope die last), and sorry for England I also have great hopes for you guys.
