Concert, mexico, What to do, queretaro
The most iconic rock band of Mexico, the "TRI" that was born in 1968 is getting 40 years of playing, music that everybody knows, and believe it or not, every single mexican know the lyrics or at least the chorus of the big hits from them.
40 years!
And they are celebrating big way, and on the celebration way Queretaro is located, October 29 and 30th will be the date of the anniversary concert in the football (soccer) stadium "La Corregidora" in which Alex's Lora band "El Tri" will be playing with the state philarmonic orchestra, that is something worht listen, and since this is the kind of person that devotes for the music, I bet the ticket will be at a fair price.

Concert, mexico, What to do, queretaro
As I mentioned before, I went to the concert on October 2nd in the state auditorium in Queretaro, the concert was sold out, so 7,000 people was there with me.
My initial plan was to arrive by cab, but some friends decided to drive there, why I didn't drive myself?... well the auditorium parking lot is big, but has only two entrances, and ot find a parking space, and then at the end to wait in the mess to leave the place, is not my favorite thing.
The logistics to enter was a total caos, the auditorium has like 9 entrances, but the organicers decided to use only two, and one was for men and the other for women, and only a person per time, so each could be checked by the security staff. So it took like an hour to enter the auditorium, making line in the cold (well cool night) was not ideal, since I arrived with some friends, women and men.
The concert, was really good, the croud behave really nice, like in a big party, everybody dancing and chanting, Manu Chao is a real good entertainer, he truly love to sing and be with the people.
Since the place was full it was a great ambient, and I have the chance to find other friends there, or people I knew from other parts. Even the boss of my boss was there.

Concert, mexico, What to do, queretaro
It is becoming hard to keep track of all concerts in Queretaro, also because the "Cervantino" art festival is coming this month, and there are many other concerts and events lately.
I'm arriving from Manu Chao's concert, which was great, the state auditorium "Josefa Ortíz de Dominguez" was full, all the 7,000 seats sold, great ambient.
Well the note I'm posting is about the MTV Bridge which comes to Mexico thanks to the MTV Music Awards Latin America that are taking place in Guadalajara, this are like the third or fourth awards that take place in Mexican soil (from MTV)
In the festival are performing new bands that appear on MTV (mexican version):
- Libra
- Esto es Eso
- LEGO
- Lugo

Also in the rock area, Kinky and Zoe (mexican Rock bands) will perfom in the city "Santa María" Bullring on october the 17th

Concert, mexico, Querétaro, Rock
...
Yesterday the Querétaro's Rock Fest tooked place at the Santa Maria bull ring, but only from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm since a huge storm started causing the ring to flood.
So the organizers of the concert C&R and the local radio station RMX had to cancel the rest of the fest, the best part by the way, due to the flooded stage they couldn't use the microphones to paz that, there was a risk of electrocution if they use them.
The rain only afected a small part of the city, which is the part where I live, and where two concerts where in place.
But acording to the radio station the fest will continue on a different date, with more artists.

Concert, mexico, Movie, queretaro
...
Yesterday was a day worth to write, like in many TV episodes, I planned a lot of activities.
Here is how my day evolved.
- In the morning, went to work
- After work I went to play volleyball (Sports)
- After that I went to watch the football match of Mexico vs Argentina (Sports Fan and watcher)
- After that I went to Timbiriche's Concert (Music and Live show)
- After that I went to the premier of "Harry Potter and the order of phoenix" (Movie Premiere with crazy fans in disguise)
A very integral day with work and resposabilities and 4 recreational activities, in a single day.
This is something you can not do if you live in Mexico city, why?, well to move from point A ot point B in that city it will take you at least 45 minutes, while in Queretaro it took me 15 minutes.

Concert, mexico, Shakira, queretaro
...
So Shakira is going to have a concert here in Queretaro, in the Corregidora Stadium, there are 30,000 tickets avaible, and Ticketmaster is selling them, the worst service ever by Ticketmaster, in Queretaro the tickets for concerts, sports and other kind of events are commonly sold by eTicket or the same people who is organizing the event, Ticketmaster never sold a ticket for an event in Queretaro before.
So, they started selling the Shakira tickets, the problem was that you have only few options, to buy the ticket and pay for receiving it in your home with a y expensive mail service like $200 pesos, or pick up your ticket in a Mix-Up music store, there are two of those stores in Queretaro, it is the cheapest option, and still will cost you $100 pesos extra, so my friend went to Mix-Up to pick up the tickets and the guy in the counter told him "we don't have any tickets here, nor the machine to print them", strange thing, so he called Ticketmaster and they told him to pick up the tickets in a Mix-Up store in Mexico City... imagine, the concert is in Queretaro, Mexico City is 3 hours from Queretaro, then you get lost in traffic while finding a Mix-Up store there!!
He complain, as many other people did, so finally the "smart guys" of Ticketmaster put a printer and terminal in the Mix-Up stores in Queretaro, before this they only had terminals in Monterrey, Mexico and Guadalajara, the biggest cities in the country, no wonder why eTicket is selling tickets in every other city in the country, they do have terminals everywhere and they charge less for the service.
To see some concerts and event that are for sale in eTicket you can go to

Jazz, Concert, queretaro, Music
I actually am a fully ignorant of Jazz, I know there is a lot of people who seriously love it and have a cult, I must confess that practicaly until today I never hear Jazz, I listened some in movies, but not really paying attention to it. Today the Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro (Autonomous Queretaro University) had a concert in "Jardín de los Perritos" infront of the governor palace it was really good, I liked Jazz!
Some friends told me that there are bars in the city that have live Jazz shows everyday.
