1.1.3, iPhone
Works great with 1.1.3

Only things that are not working are Google Maps positioning, but that can be accomplished with LocateMe if your provider supports it (mine doesn't).

stream, last.fm, social music, airtunes
I just checked out last.fm, i know, it's ages old, but i never had the time to check it out, and i really like it. However, making it sound through AirTunes was a mess, the standard player didn't want to play through iTunes, so i've had to install an external application, AirFoil, which is a shareware app used to send out sound from other applications to the Airport Express. Would've opted for a free solution if there is any...

radmind, unix, sysadmin, remote
...
Just found this interesting stuff, named
radmind, which enables one to administer multiple UNIX boxes. It also works on OS X, and is capable to force a single system to a lot of slave computers. Also, it can be set up to work with several different systems to support more areas and personalized configurations. Worth checking out, just to have a peek how BIG things work...

sysadmin, indexing, log, splunk
I've just found the link on the
Nagios homepage for a log indexer soft called
Splunk which looks quite interesting. Mainly what it does is that it indexes various log files, and besides monitoring failures it also correlates the events to have a wider picture of what's going on. I might give it a try some time in the future...

DIY, idisk, .mac, sync
...
Since I'm a mac owner, I like everything Apple-like stuff. .mac is one of the services I tried, but after the 60 day trial period I didn't pay for it, so it's unusable now. Reading
TUAW today i noticed that there is a howto about creating this whole environment yourself. Can't wait to have some free time setting up stuff...

shozu, mobile, blogging
Following up with the usual 2 posts/year, my new entry should be about the software called
ShoZu. ShoZu makes it easier to post pictures and videos from your phone directly to the web, for example, you record a video with your phone, and using ShoZu, you can upload it directly to YouTube (Same with photos and flickr). Just started using it yesterday, but it's very impressive, with few bugs, but it uploaded my image 5 times (5 times the data amount, which is bad when you pay for the data)

wifi, N80, SIP, Nokia
...
I've removed all previous entries and photos, because i've decided to change language to English and make this blog become a pure technical one.
I've thought that the SIP protocol embedded in the
Nokia N80 can be used for making and receiving calls. I've tried
this tutorial, and got
Asterisk working in 5 minutes, my phone connected to it via WiFi and SIP connection registered. Here came 3 hours of testing and testing, and i've had to stop, because according to
Martin Sauter's blog this phone is unable to make calls via the SIP protocol, it can be only used for video sharing. I'm not really happy with this, so i've decided to wait until either they come out with a new firmware, or
somebody else does it.
I find it very ashaming that a company like Nokia comes out with the E series phones having full SIP support, and then throwing out a newer phone which looks good, has a better camera, the same browser as the E series, and *removes* the SIP calling functionality. The 3rd edition of the Symbian phones have all the SIP stack
built in the OS, so i don't think that it'd be much of a hassle to bring back that menu in the Settings where you could choose the way you'd like to dial...
