I've removed all previous entries and photos, because i've decided to change language to English and make this blog become a pure technical one.

I've thought that the SIP protocol embedded in the Nokia N80 can be used for making and receiving calls. I've tried this tutorial, and got Asterisk working in 5 minutes, my phone connected to it via WiFi and SIP connection registered. Here came 3 hours of testing and testing, and i've had to stop, because according to Martin Sauter's blog this phone is unable to make calls via the SIP protocol, it can be only used for video sharing. I'm not really happy with this, so i've decided to wait until either they come out with a new firmware, or somebody else does it.

I find it very ashaming that a company like Nokia comes out with the E series phones having full SIP support, and then throwing out a newer phone which looks good, has a better camera, the same browser as the E series, and *removes* the SIP calling functionality. The 3rd edition of the Symbian phones have all the SIP stack built in the OS, so i don't think that it'd be much of a hassle to bring back that menu in the Settings where you could choose the way you'd like to dial...
