Z1-Glass Update 1.1
Sunday, January 17, 2010 6:17:54 PM
This update fixes some non-default toolbar setups that weren't done yet. I also did some more polishing and a lot of small detail changes. Enjoy!Download: Z1-Glass v1.10 (save to your <Opera directory>/skin folder)
>> A newer version is available. <<
Warning: This skin is made for Opera 10.5, it will not work in prior versions. Also this skin is made for OS supporting transparent windows, it may look odd without it. In current Opera 10.5 pre-alphas transparency in the inner parts of the Opera window does only work partly, read instructions below.

Changelog: v1.10
- added back a hover effect to speeddial
- increased transparency in addressbar and panels
- added some shadow to input fields
- new darkgrey window cycler
- panel toolbars can be placed at the bottom now, but they have to stay together
- finished panel selector top/bottom
- darkgrey tooltip
- changed status content box
- changed tabs width
- changed tabbar-head for bottom placement
- changed customize buttons dialog
- changed some icons
- many minor bugfixes
How to use transparency in current (build 3186) versions of Opera 10.5:
Currently transparency for the "inner parts" of the Opera window works only under some conditions. With the pagebar at it's default position, those inner parts (like speeddial background) will not be transparent but solid black. More information on this matter can be found here and here.
In short:
It works flawless with the tabbar at the right side and thumbs enabled.
It works with the tabbar at the bottom and thumbs disabled.
And it works with thumbs enabled and the tabbar at the left, but you have to switch the tabbar from top/bottom to left after every restart. You can get a button (fullscreen-icon) for tabbar at the left, one press will fix transparency: click me to get the button (Thanks tomu for the idea).
The screenshots show Windows 7 with the soft7 custom visual style. If you are disturbed by a white gradient in your transparent speeddial, you may want to switch to a custom visual style too.

Cool skine

I did not upload it to MyOpera/skins yet because under the stable Opera 10.10 this skin will not even show push buttons. This may be disturbing for not so advanced users after an automatic install.

About your last comment, well, it seems there are no plans for future updates on either 10.10 or 10.20 branches, its all about 10.50, but it also seems like a very very long time before a stable public 10.50 sees the light, I wouldnt even say we'll have it on 2010, maybe you could make an adaptation for those 10.10ers out there.
And by the way:

Congratulations.
Its all about it now.

It wouldn't be the same skin. There are 2 problems with 10.10/10.20: 1. It doesn't support native dialogs, buttons, scrollbars etc. That would be possible to fix with graphics from Z1-TEN vor example. 2. But the transparency issue could not be solved. It would be possible to choose 1 background color for everything that is now transparent. I don't really see the point in this.Originally posted by hectormacias:
The author, Pallab De, posted it already at the 1.0-posting. I only hope Opera uses the new possibilities of VEGA for a better looking and even better functioning UI. It wouldn't be hard to beat the competition with some margin.Unregistered user # Thursday, February 4, 2010 1:46:38 PM
