Minor update to keep up with the changes in Opera 10.5 build 3206.

Download: Z1-Glass v1.11 (save to your <Opera directory>/skin folder)

Warning: This skin is made for Opera 10.5, it will not work in earlier versions. Also this skin is made for OS supporting transparent windows, it may look odd without it. In current Opera 10.5 pre-alphas transparency in the inner parts of the Opera window does only work partly, read instructions below.

How to use transparency in current (build 3186) versions of Opera 10.5:
Currently transparency for the "inner parts" of the Opera window works only under some conditions. With the pagebar at it's default position, those inner parts (like speeddial background) will not be transparent but solid black. More information on this matter can be found here and here.

In short:
It works flawless with the tabbar at the right side and thumbs enabled.
It works with the tabbar at the bottom and thumbs disabled.
And it works with thumbs enabled and the tabbar at the left, but you have to switch the tabbar from top/bottom to left after every restart. You can get a button (fullscreen-icon) for tabbar at the left, one press will fix transparency: click me to get the button (Thanks tomu for the idea).

The screenshots show Windows 7 with the soft7 custom visual style. If you are disturbed by a white gradient in your transparent speeddial, you may want to switch to a custom visual style too.

The transparency does only work on systems supporting transparent windows like Vista and 7, so under XP it's not possible.

Due to limits in the current Opera 10.5 alphas it works only with some tabbar positions. The instructions are in the posting.

We got so inspired by this that you should be seeing a setting under [Options] called "Full Transparency" arriving in not too long that will set the whole window with aero.

Hello Jochen, I don't know about such a bug. But I cannot imagine this being a skin-issue since the skin cannot change any toolbar position.

Someone else encountered problems with blurred fonts too, but I see nothing like it. If the problems persist in the next snapshots, please file a bugreport.

If the semi-tranparency in the panel works, could it be a background-picture in speeddial (configure speeddial)? It's hard to tell without seeing it.

With opera:about entered in the addressfield you can open a page that shows the paths to the important folders of your installation. Look there where your opera directory is and save the skin-file to the /skins folder in this directory. Thats where all the customs skins go and you can selected it in the customize dialog then.

But now that the skin really works (the latest version) I will upload it to the official custom skins page the next days. Then you could use the easy automatic install.

The font rendering seems to be a bit different in Opera 10.5 than in 10.10/10.20. But what I see in your screens is imho neither a transparency nor a skin issue. Maybe you can tweak your ClearType settings?

The Full transparency = 1 setting seems to cause some issues, maybe this too. There is no setting in the skin to change the background or the text color of a page, so it can only be an indirect issue.

I just released an update btw: Z1-Glass @ MyOpera skins Is this any different?
