Dark Side of the Moon
Friday, 13. March 2009, 05:06:46
But the other day, the moon stood bright and full, just outside my window. I just had to try again. I mounted the camera on the tripod and took a gazillion shots.
Judge for yourself - was it worth the effort?
The lunatic is on the grass
The lunatic is on the grass
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs
Got to keep the loonies on the path.
The lunatic is in the hall
The lunatics are in my hall
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more.
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forbodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.
The lunatic is in my head
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'till I'm sane.
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Last night I took out the dog. So cold, but the sky was clear, the wind was still, and like caught in an icy breath, was that moon .
I wished for a moment I could photograph it's beauty. But...
I didn't have to, because you were doing it for me.
And unexpected present.

@ Phantom ~ Whoa, thank you!
@ Angeliki ~ Thank you, I am glad you liked it.
@ Kiran ~ Not Bruce, 'cause he is a guy and I'm not.
@ Darko ~ Really?
@ Jen ~ It's nice to come up with presents like that. Somehow it makes me feel good that we share the same beautiful moon.

Serves: 4 (or 2 big bowls
In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Add enough milk to make thick paste.
In a saucepan over medium heat, bring milk to a boil. Stir in brown sugar mixture, return to a boil and cook for 1 minute.
Place egg yolks in small bowl. Temper the yolks by quickly stirring in about 1/4 of hot milk mixture.
Pour yolk mixture back into hot milk mixture, and return to heat. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute; remove from heat.
Stir in butter and vanilla until butter is melted. Pour into bowls, and let cool slightly or a lot....
Sort of like a set, butterscotch flavoured custard....

It's also awesome, magnificent and it makes me jealous.
One day, I too shall have a camera capable of great photography!
I only hope that, when that day comes, my photo's will be at least half as good as yours!
Zaphira # 13. March 2009, 14:15
I wish for you that you some day will reach your favourite destination!
@ Aadil ~ You're very kind, thank you. I am sure that you'll be able to take just as nice pictures!
