Kitty's Corner

Razorlight ~ Wire to Wire

,

No matter how you feel, there's almost always a song for it. And sometimes a certain song can make you think back on a special time in your life - a special episode.

This song reminds me of when I was in Hamburg - where they played it all the time on MTV and on Viva.

The song is called "Wire to Wire", and is made by Razorlight.

Here's a link for the phonies -

- and here's the lyrics.

What is love but the strangest of feelings?
A sin you swallow for the rest of your life?
You’ve been looking for someone to believe in
To love you, until your eyes run dry

She lives on disillusion road
We go where the wild blood flows
On our bodies we share the same scar
Love me, wherever you are

How do you love with fate full of rust?
How do you turn what the savage take?

You’ve been looking for someone you can trust
Who will love you, again and again

How do you love in a house without feelings?
How do you turn what that savage take?
I’ve been looking for someone to believe in
Love me, again and again

She lives by disillusions close
We go where the wild blood flows
On our bodies, we share the same scar

How do you love on a night without feelings?
She says “love, I hear sound, I see fury”
She says “love’s not a hostile condition”
Love me, wherever you are

Love me, wherever you are
Love me, wherever you are
Wherever you are

I youtubed it so my phone wouldn't save it - caught a live version. I liked the range of emotion in his voice.

Zaphira 4. November 2009, 10:36

Oh goodie! I like it too, it's almost as if you can feel what he sings.

Spaggyj 4. November 2009, 10:40

Indeed. I really appreciate emotion in vocals, makes my hair stand on end p:

Zaphira 4. November 2009, 10:42

awwwwwwwwwwww consider yourself blessed then , many do not have the time/desire/or wisdom to smell around them,

when they say
"take the time to smell the roses" moments like yours do develop.

Do you think of her with a smile on your face? If so, it's a good memory.

Oh, Yes. Cannot smell that perfume without thinking of her.

Zaphira 5. November 2009, 11:00

That's fantastic. It makes me smile all the way over here!

Minenow 5. November 2009, 20:21

I am like that also... music and scents are instant teleporters of my mind.

Diabolical 7. November 2009, 07:00

I'll have to come back to this one :sherlock:

Zaphira 7. November 2009, 07:05

@ Minnie ~ When I was very young I live near a factory for a period of time, and it had such a weird smell. Now, when I go back, it's the same smell, and it sooo reminds me of the time back then.

@ Cois ~ Yes, please do that.

FlaRin 10. November 2009, 03:16

I love this song (uhhh....deja vu?? - or is that an echo????)

Songs and music affect me a lot - some never fail to thrill, or make me cry. Sometimes both.

*bangs around walls in a panic before falling accidentally out of window...*

Zaphira 10. November 2009, 05:34

:eyes:

no falling out the windows on my blog, please!

Anyway - I'm sometimes amazed by how good certain lyrics seem to fit my moods, the things that's on my mind, situations.

Minenow 10. November 2009, 05:45

Kitty, someone *two guesses who* is hoping to bookmark this page in order to glean information for possible use in the future...

*looks around* Don't tell him anything you wouldn't want used against you... :left:

:D Peace, Kitty..

Zaphira 10. November 2009, 05:47

Umm...

*reads again*

Zaphira 10. November 2009, 07:31

Hmm...

Minenow 10. November 2009, 14:24

 *smooch*

Let 'em come back later....

Zaphira 10. November 2009, 18:01

Mmmmmmmrrrrrrrrr!

More of that! P:

Minenow 10. November 2009, 22:03

*lafs* You, Kitty, are too damn easy to love.. I should split before I really get myself in trouble.

 flirt

Zaphira 11. November 2009, 05:15

Perhaps it's already too late for that! P:
So please, do stay! flirt

Minenow 11. November 2009, 15:48

*giggles and sighs* Mmmmm. I really do want to. P:

You can easily sway me. :o:

So how are you today?

Zaphira 11. November 2009, 17:45

Hmm... *thinks* Had an okay day, really. Was supposed to have two meetings, from 9-12 and from 12-3, but the first one was shortened to 9-10 and the second one was cancelled, which left me with 5 unexpected hours! :eyes: I did a lot of tidying up in the papers on my desk. And that felt very good.

And yourself - how are you feeling?

Minenow 11. November 2009, 20:59

Feeling pretty good for not much sleep. *nods*

Highly caffinated. P:

I loved that feeling of having things in order because of those rare "catch up" opportunities.

I miss that.

Incidentally, another supervisor job just opened up (higher than I had before) , and I'm going to apply. This time I have a healthier attitude. I likely don't deserve it now, but it'd allow me to blossom into myself faster.

Anyhow. I'd be good there. That I'm sure of. We'll see...

*lafs* you're the first person I told. Er, second. :D

rose-marie 11. November 2009, 21:23

:sst: Not counting all of us who accidentally read your comment before Kitty

Zaphira 11. November 2009, 21:37

I'll send all the positive energy I can muster, in order to help you get the job. When is it from if you get it?

I don't even want to guess who the first person was. :D
- But thanks for letting me be the second. I promise I won't tell anybody. It'll stay between you, me and the readers.

Zaphira 11. November 2009, 21:37

I read it first!

I was just taking my time commenting!

Minenow 11. November 2009, 22:21

Hehe. Rose.. You know who I am, right? :left: Otherwise knowing second isn't as much fun. P:

 it is GOOD to see you and have an actual conversation again. :o:

Kitty, thanks. Somehow, I know you really understand the ache in my heart with what I've gone through. Donno why, but I FEEL it. And love you for that.

 Yeah, you know the first....

I will apply Friday, and then who knows when they'll do interviews and decisions. My company can be decidedly quick or painfully slow depending on a thousand bajillion factors.

Irony? It's HER job. The one who tried to fire me. Like two years later... Here we are. *giggles* It would be cool as hell if she had to train me.

I'm getting ahead of myself. Anyway, got your vibes :smooch: and sending them back with interest. You are so special to me...

Enjoy your new couch by the way.

Zaphira 12. November 2009, 05:29

I'll update about the couch tomorrow, am writing on the post this instant, so you'll know soon..

I agree, it'd be sooo cool if she had to train you - the irony of life, really, that just bites us in the ass all the time.

And yes, I do understand how you feel. I know your heart. I know that sounds ridiculous - but nonetheless. I do.

Minenow 12. November 2009, 14:24

*thinks* Naw...it makes perfect sense to me. You seem to understand a part of my personality few people see. Always have.

Course you understand because they're quailties and passions we share. :o:.

Zaphira 12. November 2009, 15:19

It feels good, right!?

Minenow 12. November 2009, 21:25

*hugs and hugs and hugs*

flirt Yeah... It surely does.
