Kitty's Corner

Guessing time again!

Sometimes when I browse through a store I see something that makes me think "What the hell is that!!" And since I always have at least one camera with me, I try to catch these little odd things on my memory card, so I can put them into a "what is it"-post.

Here's the latest weird thing I found:

The only hint you're going to get is right there on the picture: The price, which is 4.77DKK (0.65 Eur), so it's a pretty cheap thing.

But what the hell is it??

I forgot to say that the answer is revealed Monday.

r♡se 8. November 2009, 12:35

I recently noticed that Søstrene Grene had opened here too :D.

The things on the picture would make fun gingerbread animals :D.
Hmm... Could it be napkin holders?
Or templates to paint borders?
Either way, they're cute .

Kitty 8. November 2009, 13:53

Søstrene Grene is such a cool store, they have all sorts of crazy and unnecessary things, along with some tea, that I absolutely love!

Diabolical 8. November 2009, 14:17

Page marker?
'Let's go to the zoo' reminder thing for cats?

Angeliki 8. November 2009, 14:37

Homer: Doh! darn it this is a hard one! I'll be back...

Kitty 8. November 2009, 14:38

I'm glad that these contests aren't too easy. :D

Diabolical 8. November 2009, 15:45

It's a nutscratcher! :D

Kitty 8. November 2009, 15:48

Do your nuts look like that? Wait... wait, don't answer that. Go see a doctor instead! :yikes:

Diabolical 8. November 2009, 16:19

Haven't you ever just have to scratch your nuts to see if they're fresh? I'm talking about a cooking implement catface.. :irked:

r♡se 8. November 2009, 17:20

What time tomorrow will you post the answer? Maybe I'll have time to drop by the shop for a quick look... p:

Kitty 8. November 2009, 17:28

@ Cois ~ Yes yes, whatever! P: And no, I don't ever scratch the nuts!

@ Rose ~ No cheating!
I shall reveal the answer just before the shop opens tomorrow. P:

r♡se 8. November 2009, 17:40

But that way I won't get a winning cookie. awww

Kitty 8. November 2009, 17:45

Awww... I baked a lot of cookies today. I'm sure there'll be one left you can have. awww

r♡se 8. November 2009, 18:04

Oooh yay!
What kind?

RedFreya 8. November 2009, 18:22

Is it something to do with recycled animals ? Dog! cat! :yuck: No that`s more like Soylent Green than Søstrene Grene!!

Kitty 8. November 2009, 18:30

@ Rose ~ Biscotti, the Italian almond cookies.

@ Freya ~ No clues so far - but I can help so much as to say that nobody guessed it yet. P:

Kimmie 8. November 2009, 19:29

Not a clue. They look like stencils of a sort.

Jurjen 8. November 2009, 20:00

Hermitess 8. November 2009, 22:58

Hermit guesses refrigerator magnets

I guess pot holders

Angeliki 9. November 2009, 00:38

as a pet owner I know when they use their litter box they leave behind with their paws dirt, so is it a plastic mat to keep the "i just pooped area" clean?? I know I have more guesses that I did not use, but I feel generous tonight and I will donate the rest...p:

Stardancer 9. November 2009, 03:55

No clue.

:D

Flarin 9. November 2009, 04:07

Cookie cutters sounds good to me too - I guess 0.65 euros each?? Or.....?

Kitty 9. November 2009, 05:17

Still no right guesses. :D
It's 0.65 euros for the whole pack.

Aaand, the material they're made of is flexible. P:

Martin K 9. November 2009, 06:04

I haven't the faintest idea, which by the way goes for many of the items Søstrene Grene is selling. In my hometown, Odense, there's a big Søstrene Grene at the train station, which means in stead of just sitting in the waiting area staring at scrappy pigeons or stressed out business people you can go looking at strange objects with no obvious purpose. I rarely buy stuff there, unless I am in that particular mood, you know, where you just have to buy something... This happens sometimes, even to me. I've found that women and small children are extremely fond of the place. Too bad they don't sell electronic gadgets.

David Scott Aubrey 9. November 2009, 09:37

Pool toys!

Diabolical 9. November 2009, 10:40

It's pet nut scratchers! :D

Angeliki 9. November 2009, 12:43

are they stencils?
to decorate with painted animal shapes a surface?
I mean with your painting the house and all...

:D just a guess

Hermitess 9. November 2009, 12:57

bracelets!

uh... odd shaped frisbees?

Molds for play-dough!

O O do they go on the bottom of the bath tub? Like anti-skid?

Gavin Sheedy 9. November 2009, 19:16

Condoms for perverts.

Kitty 9. November 2009, 20:08

Okay, the guesses are getting more and more interesting. Perhaps I should wait with posting the answer till tomorrow? :D

Gavin Sheedy 9. November 2009, 20:09

r♡se 9. November 2009, 20:19

Gah! Then I could've gone to the shop today...! p:

Gavin Sheedy 9. November 2009, 20:20

 Cheater!

r♡se 9. November 2009, 20:20

Oh - when you say they are flexible - does it mean they stay in the position you've bent them into?

Kimmie 9. November 2009, 20:21

Ohh just tell us

Gavin Sheedy 9. November 2009, 20:21

A strangling cord for pets! :troll:

No. You can stretch them, but when not stretched they go back to pet-shapes. :D

Ooh this is a good contest - you'll never guess!
