International Women s Day 2011
Wednesday, March 9, 2011 5:42:57 AM
- Yesterday was the International Women's Day.
- Denmark was the first country that released pornography - all the way back in 1967-69.
What do these two things have in common, you might ask.
Apparently a lot.
It was yesterday, on International Women's Day that the Cunt-o-mat was introduced. And yes. You read it right: The Cunt-o-mat!
What's that, you might ask.
The answer is that it is a white wooden chair with lamps and a camera attached to it. The idea is that you remove the clothes from your lower body, sit down on the chair, and in a flash your intimate parts will be photographed and ultimately be uploaded to this website. What's the purpose, you might ask.
The idea arose when the famous book "Woman, know your body" was to be updated. The authors felt that there weren't any decent photos of female genitalia on the internet. The photos on the Internet are mostly pornographic, and the pornographic pussy has standards to live up to: It's supposed to be completely symmetrical and have very small labia, and it has to be hairless.
So the purpose is to build a collection of images showing the diversity of female genitalia.
The Cunt-o-mat is right now in the library of the Goethe institute, but it's possible to rent it, if you're interested.
Why do I blog about this, you might ask.
I blog about this because I can't imagine this happening anywhere else in the World and it's truly
a Danish cultural event, for International Women's Day, to celebrate the natural beauty of all Women,
and release Pussies from the chains of stereotypical pornography. And as such, how appropriate
that the country that gave the world pornography is also the country that reminds us that the World is
full of real Women...
So welcome to Copenhagen. Have a seat!

@ DH ~ Of course it's true. But only in Denmark...
@ Flarin ~ It was so much fun to write this post. And I know it's controversial, but... hey... more interesting than to read about what I had for dinner yesterday, eh?
@ Mart ~ It looks to me as if I never had that chance.
@ Kimmie ~ No words needed, really.

I've never heard of a kussomat before and I think I would be very surprised if I suddenly found one in the library. It's interesting, though, and I like the purpose

Plus I read that one of the Danish newspapers have published some of the pics from the cunt-o-mat on their website, despite the fact that the original website states that it's not allowed to. In fact, lots of newspapers have asked, and the answer has been 'no' all the time. The fund will consider what to do about it.
They need to do something, in my opinion!
