Music Challenge ~ Week 10

, , ,

This is the tenth post in my row of music challenges - time sure flies when you're having fun.

This week's challenge: A song that makes you fall asleep.

I'm sure this one will make you laugh, but that's alright. bigsmile I find it quite funny myself, actually.

Sing me this lullaby, and I'll be sleeping safely like a happy kitten. happy

That is a very sweet little lullaby, Pussy Cat happy
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week is really hard!!! Music doesn't usually put me to sleep (even though I very often fall asleep listening to it - that's because I'm tired). Hmmmmm.
*a bit later*
OK. This is almost certainly my favourite piece of 'classical' music, and something which speaks volumes to me, none of which I can explain....not that I need to, but this is really....soul music smile and in the right room, in the right sofa, with the window open, on a mellow, quiet sunny afternoon...a few birds singing in the background...
The music of Ralph Vaughan Williams, and the pictures of Joseph Mallord William Turner. They tug at something deep inside. I've never been homesick, but if I was gonna be, this is where it would start.
Freakish lullaby scared
Dark FurieFurie Monday, September 12, 2011 9:49:18 AM
Maybe the dingo ate her baby? whistle
Freya RedFreya Monday, September 12, 2011 1:58:09 PM
John Cage`s 4`33"rolleyes bigsmile
Your lullaby sounds like a Music Hall song from the early 20th century.
Is that a headline from the Sun. "Dingo ate her baby when woman was at bingo". Or more probably " Bingo Bimbo`s Baby Ate By Dingo.lol
Dark FurieFurie Monday, September 12, 2011 3:02:36 PM
The Sun doesn't have headlines, just bigger pictures for their readers. wink
Martin K™Aqualion Monday, September 12, 2011 3:49:59 PM
I can't fall asleep with music on. No matter what music it is, it keeps me awake, so I'll have to pass on this one.
Angelikiellinidata Monday, September 12, 2011 4:17:07 PM
I am a no sound /light sleeper ... still an interesting video! thanks for sharing up
KittyliciousZaphira Monday, September 12, 2011 4:19:17 PM
@ Flarin ~ Cool. I didn't even know you were listening to classical music. up
@ Kimmie ~ Yes, a little bit. bigsmile I like it anyway. p
@ Mik ~ I don't think the dingo would be interested in a baby that's nothing but a skeleton covered with skin. bigsmile
@ Freya ~ That's definitely quiet enough to send me to sleep too! lol
@ Lion ~ I understand that. There'll be another challenge next week. smile
KittyliciousZaphira Monday, September 12, 2011 4:19:43 PM
@ Angeliki ~ That's alright, thanks anyway. smile
KittyliciousZaphira Monday, September 12, 2011 4:56:06 PM
Is this a Universal rule? Does every country have a newspaper called, "The Sun" or "The Daily Sun" that's dedicated to the superstitious and barely literate? lol.
DHdarkesthour Monday, September 12, 2011 8:33:34 PM
This should work for most people... Some nice pictures though bigsmile
Freya RedFreya Monday, September 12, 2011 9:46:49 PM
Very effective, I had a nice sleep for eight or so minutes.They should have this on bedside radios as a new function for the sleep button.zzz
DHdarkesthour Monday, September 12, 2011 10:15:37 PM
lol Tangerine Sleep
Dark FurieFurie Tuesday, September 13, 2011 12:40:27 PM
Yes Aadil. In this country it's so bad that it can't even be used as toilet paper as you'd wipe more shit on than off.
Martin K™Aqualion Tuesday, September 13, 2011 1:24:24 PM
You could say that about every Danish newspaper, actually. Journalism has died. There's no honour amongst the people of my trade anymore. It's depressing.
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
No, it's merely come full circle! It started of with passing strangers gossiping on street corners. It rose to the level of the journeyman who traveled from town to town relating news and information. Then it became Print, thanks to the printing press! From there it became 'Media' which changed into something akin to 'entertainment'. And now it is once again, Gossip on the street corner!!! rolleyes.
Martin K™Aqualion Tuesday, September 13, 2011 2:51:37 PM
So, this here would be our street corner, right?
I hope you realize this means I have to write a song called 'Gossip On The Street Corner'.
What surprises me is that it hasn't been done yet! yikes.
Dark FurieFurie Wednesday, September 14, 2011 10:52:33 AM
No surprise. Street corners are well known for other activities so those take precedence.
Aidialigan0510 Friday, September 16, 2011 2:16:56 PM
Hi, dear Kitty! Long time not see you.
Hmm lullaby... I will be glad if someone sing Only Time by Enya.
FlaRin Saturday, September 17, 2011 10:33:32 PM
And I know you won't like this at all, Pussy Cat, but many's the night, in bygone times, when I would fall asleep in the living room of my flat in West London, in a nice warm haze, with this playing coolly in the background...
cool (I no longer have this recording, b t w wink )
KittyliciousZaphira Sunday, September 18, 2011 2:09:49 PM
Hiya Aidia ~ Yeah, it's been a while since we bumped into each other. I hope you're doing well. smile
Enya is sleepable music for me too. up
@ Flarin ~ OMG, I stopped this after 4 seconds! faint lol
I guess it's a good thing that you knew I wouldn't like it. bigsmile
Aidialigan0510 Sunday, September 18, 2011 2:55:29 PM
Kitty darling... I'm alright, very very happy. Kitty... maybe finally I've found a true love. Maybe, I don't know yet.
Now it's time to go back to temporary home, hug Dad and Mom, kiss my sister and brothers, chit chat with friends, finishing novel, and meditation. So, how about married for next? Is it a good idea, Kitty???
KittyliciousZaphira Sunday, September 18, 2011 4:22:14 PM
Whoa, true love...! That's great news, Aidia, I cross my fingers that it turns out to be just right! up
Marriage is only a good thing if you're sure that he's the right one. That's my opinion about marriage anyway.
Have a good evening! heart
r♡serose-marie Saturday, September 24, 2011 5:29:28 PM
Finally an easy one! bigsmile
I've come to that age when I'm couch zapping after dinner, and, stumbling upon an episode I've already seen about ten times, it feels ok to rest my eyes for a bit (with good conscience as I won't miss out on anything) and head off to doze-off-land.
KittyliciousZaphira Sunday, September 25, 2011 9:21:22 AM
I'm actually looking forward to getting one of the easy challenges! bigsmile
