Photo, Everyday life, Cat, Picture of the week

Okay - so I'm not blogging as much as I want to, and I am not taking as many pictures as I want to either. So I've figured out a way to solve these two problems in one go. I'll make a "picture of the week"-post every Sunday. That forces me to take pictures during the week, plus it gives me that stability in posting, that I aim for.

The pictures can be anything from a close up of a salt jar to pictures from a big event or from the Zoo. It's basically a picture of something I've come across in the week that has just passed.

What do you think about that idea?

Here's my first picture. One of my best friend's cat:

It is possibly the sweetest cat I've ever come across.

I think it's a great idea - you are of course full of them and it's a shame that life-in-general does sometimes slow down the blogging. The will is there, but the time to think up, write and polish the material sometimes isn't. It's the same for me

An excellent idea ... otherwise, you're going to have to make that foreigner move back South of The Line ... he's obviously keeping you from your true gift ... photography. I'd do without the writing ... reluctantly, perhaps ... but he must not be allowed to interfere with your photography.

I'm *always* ready to go out with camera(s) and accoutrements...but when it's 2 degrees, windy and raining, or -10 and windy (feels like -20) with 100% cloud cover and frozen slush on all the sidewalks etc., the call of the camera is very quiet indeed, it seems

Spring is nearly upon us though - I saw a finch in the back yard yesterday, and a pair of blackbirds in one of the trees over the road this morning (more birds in a consecutive 2 day period than I've seen since I got here)...so we shall soon be out there at sunup, with eyes and artistic senses peeled, once again

I use duct tape, and a very swift rip-off motion. Painful, sure - but hugely reduces the pity-window.

True, and that dude is way too hairy for that. You could run our entire country for a few days on the hair we'd get from him but it'd mean a backlog in our stores of cat hair that could eventually take over the world!!!
