Zenfish'n

Dreams are what you make of them.

Zenfish'n ( or how I became Zenfisher)

Shortly before the internet hit big time...I worked for a very oppressive company in Winnipeg. As they can afford attorney's & I can't,there name shall remain hidden. Save to say... the company was a directional point, The didn't treat their employees Fair and they sold Food. I was working graveyard shift at the time.

After a particularily long trying evening...I popped over to the Rev and Mrs. Rev's. The Rev always has beer and I was in great need after the night I just had. I knew he was an early riser and it really wasn't that early, especially for him. At that time The Rev had a couple of big dogs and I knew the secret passway to getting into the house. I made my way in and grabbed a beer from the beer fridge. It was eerily quiet. I made my way to the living room and saw no one, not even the dogs. I found the remote and plopped down in a big comfy chair and turned the TV on at a low volume.

I watched TV for about five minutes. One of their many cats came in and meowed at me for some food. I fed her. I sat back down and I heard a rumbling from above me. I heard the sound of many footsteps thundering down the stairs. The two dogs poked their head from the door first and The Rev followed. A wild eyed glaze in his eyes.

"Dude "(not my real name...yet) he said still trying to digest his home wasn't broken into.

" I was just dreaming about you."

" Really" I said, not quite sure what to make of the statement.

" We were fishing" this is odd, cause The Rev doesn't fish and I hadn't been in at least eight years. " We were on the banks of the river, when suddenly you jumped into the water. You didn't sink like I thought you would. You were jumping around, flipping, and doing somersaults until you made your way half way across the river." he giggled a bit here.

" Dude... ( the names have been changed, just another friendly reminder ) What are you doing?

To which the dream version of me replied... " I'm Zenfishn'...Throw me a beer."

I've been Zenfishn' ever since.
