So Shane-T has given me a great idea.
Last weekend I took apart Stacy (my d600) looking for some space to add some eeePC style mods. But I couldn't really find much space except behind the speakers where the bluetooth module is ment to go.
Anywho I was chatting to Shane-T the class' resident eeePC owner, discussing my lack of space despite the size of laptop. He suggested that I replace my HDD with a high cap CF and a CF 2 ATA adapter to cut power. I thought that was a step too far, then he had a brainwave, why not replace the removeable media bay with a media bay packed with UBS nerd goodies.
I think he's on to something and plan on doing this as my post exam project. (it'll probably turn into a pre-exam project given my previous experience) I've taken my CD drive appart and it looks promising.
Going to use the media bay FDD I have lying around at home, I rearely use it so this is a perfect use for it.
But what will I put in it? well here's a provisional list.

if anyone has any extra idea's drop me a comment, there's loads of space in the media bay.
and of course I'll be putting up details and pictures up here.
