Paris, days 1&2

On the first day I was alone and I wasn't allowed to see the best tourist attractions, cos next day my indian friend was joining me. I went up to basilica Sacre Coeur close to the hostel and saw lots of japanese tourists. It was quite foggy, so view of the city wasn't so nice. I went down to the centre on foot without using the map, saw Galaries Lafayette (couldn't do shopping ofcourse), the biggest square I've ever seen and walked a lot. I turned back to hostel early after had a small delicious quiche for dinner, because I heard Paris subway wasn't safe during the night for a woman alone. My itchy and red legs couldn't stop me to have a glass of wine in a cafe in neighbourhood. I thought it might be a kind of allergy but pharmacist told me next day I had a ventilation problem because of my tight socks.
On Friday I met my friend in the hotel which is a very cheap and clean hotel. The lady in the reseption couldn't speak English properly and she gave us a room for one person and to explain that we wanted to change the room took a while. After we've managed to get a double bed room we headed to the meeting point of free city tour. Our guide didn't show up and we left to Notre Dame. During waiting we met three exchange students, one originally bolivian american and an australian guy, both studying in Milan and an american girl studying in Ireland.
We arrived to Eiffel Tower after a long walk with sight seeing and it was time to wait in a queue. Just after we arrived to the top of the tower the storm has started, it was windy and raining like crazy and freezing. We had a terrible view but we had great fun!
