Internship
The night of 20th December was the most laborious night I ever had. It was time for white collar employees of DHL to work in Brussels Hub voluntarily and experience the core work in this once-in-a-year event. They gave us options of work places and I had no idea what to choose because I had never been to a hub before. I picked "Offload" just because it sounded good and when I got there I found out that it's pure physical work.

The evening started at 7 after work in an italian restaurant and after this long dinner we arrived to hub around 11 pm. In my team there were just 2 other women and totally we were around 15 people. When I first went to the gathering place some young guys were making fun of me, I guess because I cannot speak Flemish, but later on they were very kind. I worked with a young guy who could speak English and a bit German and we could communicate pretty well. It took quite a while until I could explain him why I was there and what I was doing at DHL and all team thought it was my first day (well night) at work. We were busy emptying containers that came out of airplanes and throw parcels on bands so they could go to auto or manual sorting. It was a tough job and working whole day at the office and working at night again made it even more exhausting. The shift was supposed to last until 4 am. but I was lucky and we had to finish at 3.30. Others went on working in another part of the hub but I had no energy to keep on working.
I arrived home at 5 am., fell asleep immediately and didn't wake up until my alarm started to ring (which is a very rare case for me) at 11.30 am. I wasn't done with carrying stuff because I had to move to my new home
I was wondering if labours there found it arrogant us to work there one night or they did appreciate.

Internship
Around 2 weeks ago I got an offer for an intership in Brussels. I accepted the offer last Monday and today I got a final confirmation. No no I didn't dedicate my life to interships at DPWN but I'm very happy about this new placement

I don't know yet when exactly I'll move but I'm going to start the new job latest beginning of December. So my abroad experience is not over soon, stay tuned

Internship
Even before I came to Bonn I wanted to be here in summer. I'm very happy living in Bonn and working in Deutsche Post and now I'm happier because I signed a contract to extend my internship until end of September.

Internship
Maybe you've already noticed that lately I'm posting within working hours. This is not a good sign, is it? Until the end of last week I always had things to do, I was getting duties from different managers and I had no time to get bored but now I've got nothing to do and I'm afraid it goes on until the beginning of next month. You might think that I'm happy with the situation but no, I didn't come here to sit in an office alone doing nothing and I prefer to party out of office

Internship
Yesterday just before I was getting out of the office my boss told me that there is a party in Post Tower -the Head Quarter of DPWN. As I heard that it occurs once in 3 months, I have immediately decided to go there. Unfortunately my camera wasn't in my bag but from that moment on I'm going to carry it with me all the time, I hope.
The party started with african music, which was very enjoyable. I would love to take photos of the band and the member dancing all the time. DPWN is a global partner of
UNICEF and this week it's UNICEF Week in the company. After the first concert the auction for UNICEF started. They even sold a bicycle like the one below.

I left the party after the auction.
If you would ask why I didn't write it yesterday, I would tell you that I was in a birthday party until 1 o'clock at night.

Life in abroad, Internship
Today it'sYesterday it was Nikolaustag and here is my little Santa Claus chocolate from my christmas calender.
*****************************On Monday there was a networking event for interns of
DPWN. It was quite useful for me, since I'm a brand new trainee here. During one of the sessions the discourser has fainted. If that would happen in Turkey, all the participants would surround the poor girl and the session would be cancelled. But people were very calm here, just a few people looked after her and just before she could get up she was replaced by a colleague. I should admit that I'm impressed.

Internship
Here is my visa! I think German General Consulate in Istanbul thought that my arrival 2 days before my internship start might be very dangerous. So I might be going to Bonn on 2nd of December.

Internship
After waiting 5 months to be matched, today it's clear that I'm going to Bonn/Germany on 29th of November. My internship starts on 1th December in
Deutsche Post World Net. For me it's hard to believe that at last I'm going! Well, I have 6 weeks to get used to the idea of moving to Germany for 6 months.
