Lately I see some blogs and web sites starts with 'acemi', I didn't know that it was such a populer nick. Today I searched the word in google and I found this entry in ek$i sozluk:
The origin of the word is 'acem', which means 'foreigner' in arabic. The acemi is stranger and not in his home. He is new there. He's already been in some different locations but he wants to get to know this new place and make it home, that's what's going to happen even he doesn't want to. Acemi cannot interpret this new home to his origin. First he paralyses, then he seeks for a way but he can't. There might be a contact if he gives up to speak in his original language and lets locals leak in him. This is the vaccine against barbarous.
I hope I've already had the vaccination, at least I already let them leak in me.
