What is AjaxWp
AjaxWp is a lightweight JavaScript enhancement that adds AJAX functionality to WordPress blogs speeding up load times, increasing the responsiveness of the user interface and giving the blog an overall cooler look.
Out of the box AjaxWp requires minimal configuration and no additional markup, other than the script inclusions in the header file and a support PHP file. This allows AjaxWp to degrade gracefully and leave the blog fully functional even for users with JavaScript disabled.
Unlike many typical AJAX applications, AjaxWp also supports bookmarking and has built in browser history management, so users can navigate through the blog using the browser back and forward buttons.

南北恒通·商务博客装上了话匣子--shoutbox。
shoutbox是ajax驱动的wordpress插件，它相当于在线即时(real time)聊天功能，任何一个访问你的博客的人都可以与其他人互动交流，不必刷新屏幕，不受时间和地域的限制，不需要用到第三方服务商的服务，不必担心因为服务中断造成blog页面下载困难等问题。它几乎就是嵌在主页里的一个小聊天室！这个插件给博客页面平添了活泼气氛，它的开发者的主页是Jalenack，并提供该插件的下载。最新版本是1.16。
激活插件前要详细阅读readme.txt文件，目前仅支持Wordpress1.5以上的版本。安装插件的步骤很简单，关键是与所选用的WP主题配置保持一致，作者建议最好把shotbox安装在主题模板的侧边栏(sidebar.php)上。以rounded-v2为例：

AJAXPress as per its hompage is a web 2.0 blogging system written in Javascript with a PHP backend. Works on any webserver with PHP and MySQL installed. In order to properly view and use AJAXPress blogs, you must be using Internet Explorer 6.0 or FireFox 1.5 or greater.
Now I don’t see any Search Engine Optimization (SEO) done there, so if a bot comes to the blog with AJAXPress, it will only have access to the homepage, still its pretty clean code with nice interface. Corporates and not so SEO conscious may like it
