You will find a lot of books on dating tips and advices all over the internet. But it is really very difficult to find the right one, especially in the light of the fact that many ebooks are full of online dating tips and guides that sound too obvious and at the end you’ll realize that you learned nothing new from it. Here are some of the worst dating advices found in the internet and in the romance books.
The salsa dance suggestion
Do you think taking a salsa class would help you find a date? Well it sure does sound cool and given the fact that salsa involves pretty intimate steps with the other partner, one easily assumes that maybe it’s the best way to start things out. But taking a salsa class for a relationship sounds too movie-like.
Being Open
OK many dating guides suggest you to be open. Well really, should you be open? Should you reveal everything about you? of course, there should be a degree of openness but being open doesn’t mean you should be giving your number to everyone. But the guides and books fail to explain what OPEN means. Does it mean that you should embrace someone who isn’t your type?
Love takes time
Well does it? have you ever been compelled to see a person you aren’t interested in and after seeing them multiple times, trying to see their positive sides you are still unsatisfied? Well, if love should start, it would show some signs right from the beginning. If you aren’t fully into a person even after seeing them dozen of times, you shouldn’t focus more on getting things tied up.
Love yourself
Books suggest that you should first love yourself before others love you. Well it sounds a bit abstract. Who could consistently love themselves? Unless you are very famous like Justin Bieber, you can’t maintain that healthy burst of narcissism. Its not that you need to be a celebrity to love yourself, but maintaining your self love can be quite difficult. So, instead of constant self love, we should be seeking for less abstract things. There should be something more practical in existence to help you partner with a person you are really interested in. so, don’t talk everything about yourself out of self love before you know someone really well.
It is not that you shouldn’t follow dating tips and advices from experts. But some tips are so stereotypical and aren’t at all practical.
