So I've been playing around with ways to put an RSS reader into my panels and I've stumbled across a pretty neat web page RSS reader. Its called Grazr and all you need to do is supply it with a URL for an OPML file and it will load it into a slick and easy to read window. The great thing is that it is scalable and fits neatly into the Panel window.

To make it easy to add to panels, I've come up with a little tool that will generate the Grazr window in an web page which you can then bookmark and add to your panels. You can find the tool here...

I've included urls to two excellent OPML files to get people started and you'll need to estimate the height and width of your side panel window space.

I created a simple panel to quickly access my favorite internet radio stations at SomaFM. The panel contains multiple file format links so users on all platforms should have access to the music.

SomaFM offers an eclectic mix of modern music. I highly recommend Secret Agent, "the soundtrack for your stylish, mysterious, dangerous life. For Spies and PIs too!" But I'm quite addicted to Groove Salad and the Drone Zone, as well.

If you're new to adding panels, you can add it by right clicking this link -- ( SomaFM ) -- and selecting "Bookmark link...". Mark the checkbox that says "Show in panel", click OK and voila, its in your panel. You can now groove to the eclectic sounds emenating from San Francisco.
