Opera, this week released a new version of their Opera Mini for feature phones at the Mobile Web Conference called Opera Mini Next (does it ring a bell? Yes! Opera Next for Desktop . And just like Opera Next for desktop, Opera Mini Next is a preview of whats to come later this year.
Opera Mini Next features what is called Smart Page On the first page that shows up when you launch it. On this sweet page, you have your Facebook and Twitter integration where when logged in, you get tweets from Twitter and notifications from Facebook.
Manchester United Fans (or sports fans) you are not left out, get the latest sports news right in your palm. All available on your smart page.
On your speed dial, you get the opportunity to add more than 9 websites to your speed dial. I have 36 websites in my speed dial
from my synchronization with Opera Desktop via Opera Link. These same exciting features are also available in the Android and the Symbian version too. Not as Opera Mini Next but rather Opera Mobile 12! The newest kid on the block.
Opera Mobile 12 for Android and Symbian (iOS too) support Ragnarok (Opera’s HTML5 Parser) meaning, website and Apps built with HTML5 can run cheerfully in Opera Mobile 12, support for Camera use in browser too.
Data Usage is still retained in the Help menu. Opera still wants you to know how much you are spending on Internet. As always, Opera products are free and will always be, get them from m.opera.com or try out Opera Mini Next from m.opera.com/next
One more thing,
This is a test version of our next release (I'm talking about Opera Mini Next). It contains bugs and may be unstable. For everyday browsing, please use the latest stable version.
