And here is a view of Aislin on Ladyhawke.
We went to the Rabbit Extravaganza in Belton, Texas (I think it was near Temple, but I was just following along in the caravan), on Saturday. Yes, Aislin and her friend, Brianna, and I all got up at middle-of-the night am, and left at the smelly buttcrack of dawn.
We did not show ANY rabbits (I should note that I appear to be allergic to rabbits), but Aislin did have two sketches and a canopic jar, which she entered in the art portion of the contest. Of course, since she could not put any kind of description on the canopic jar, they must have thought it was a wierd cookie jar (a canopic jar is something she learned about while studying Egypt at school). Since the judges obviously had trouble with the wierd cookie jar, they decided not to place it at all. She did get fourth place with one of her sketches, though. Both sketches were of rabbits, and the canopic jar was shaped as a rabbit.
One of the other kids from Aislin's 4-H club did enter rabbits and one of hers got Best of Breed (the trophy said "BOB," so we nicknamed the rabbit Bob), so we had to wait until Best in Show was judged before we could leave. It was a long day.
