"Good morning!"
Sam stumbled into the dinning room. She looked up and was surprised to see her stupid father eating breakfast cheerfully as Ian served him tea.
"Good morning, Mistress," Ian smiled.
"Dad, what are you doing here? This early morning....," she irritably sat across him, unconsciously ignoring Ian.
Mr Martindale sipped his tea, "well, I haven't had my breakfast yet," he whined like a kid.
"Dad, you could at least eat out."
"But that's a waste of money, Samster. Plus, I couldn't sleep well last night and I need energy."
Sam glared at him, "don't call me 'Samster', and I'm the one who's suppose to say that. Dad, you were snoring too loud that I had to sleep in my bathroom," she rubbed the back of her neck, "now I'm having stiffed neck."
She turned to Ian, "by the way, where's Luke?"
Ian sat beside her and started eating breakfast, "Master Luke went ahead to school. He's been assigned to open Café Luxe today because Mrs Davies won't be around."
"Oh." Sam paused, "wait, maybe he went ahead to see the result of the First Term Exam that'll be posted today. That bastard..."
Ian smiled with a sweat drop, "I don't think he'll be conscious of that."
"Anyway," Sam stood up, taking a French bread with her, "I'm going now. Maybe I can catch up with him."
Ian smiled nervously, "she's not listening..."

As soon as elevator opened, Sam stepped into the Dean's office. But then, her eyes flashed towards the figure that was casually seating on the Dean's couch.
"Hey, Sam," Kirsten smiled.
Sam walked towards her, "you're early."
"Well, I pity you because you always have to walk too far just to get to my dorm. Now's my turn," she grinned.
"Eh...," Sam smiled. Her facial expression changed to angry mode, "let's go, Kirsten."
"Why on a hurry?" she asked.
"The results will be posted up today!" Sam grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the empty office, "finally, I'm going to beat Luke this time!" she swung her fist victoriously.
Kirsten frowned, "but that's what you said during our graduation day."
"You're not going to help me boost my confidence, are you?" Sam asked with half-moon eyes.
"Go, Team Sam...," Kirsten waved a white flag nervously.
---
"Whoa, look at that mob...," Kirsten gasped as she pointed ahead.
Sam put her hands on her waist, "stupid superior students. They have their own bulletin board but they always form those fan-girl mob over at the Excellent building."
Kirsten glanced at the Superiors' bulletin board with dotted eyes, "now that you mentioned it. They don't really care who gets into the Top 10. They always mob over at the Excellent building."
Suddenly, Luke stepped out of the mob. Some girls were in tears as he smiled at them. He spots Sam and Kirsten as he walked towards them. He held out a hand, "congratulations, idiot girl," he smiled at Sam.
Sam's eyes widened, "did I...?" She ran towards the bulletin board, her eyes scanned the long list and spots her name. But there was something unusual about it. She squinted and after a while, she looked around and spots Luke's fan girls in tears. "Tears of joy...?!" she thought angrily.

Kirsten put her hand on Sam's shoulder, "are you okay, Sam?"
Sam looked down to her feet, "damn, he's first again. The worst thing is, if only I got that point 5..I would've been in the same rank as he is." She looked up angrily at the boy across her who grinned cheekily. She pointed at him with a very straight index finger, "remember this, stupid Luke. I will defeat you no matter what!" she exclaimed.
Some of his fans gasped and started whispering to each other. Luke simply shrugged with a simple smile. Suddenly, he brings out his Café Luxe apron and wore it on his waist, "go ahead...if you can beat this Café Luxe waiter," he grinned. He turns around and returns to the shop.
Sam glared at him, shooting cold stares at his back. Meanwhile, just beside Kirsten, a dirty looking figure appeared which caused the other students to run away in horror. Kirsten nervously looks beside her, "h-hey, you okay there?' she asked the figure.
"I wish...," he mumbled.
Sam glances at Kirsten, "you're already used to his weird appearances, I guess?"
Kirsten smiled, "you could put it that way."
"What rank did you get, Jean?" Sam smiled at the dirty figure beside her best friend.
Jean tiredly pointed at the paper, "Mrs Saxton probably burned my paper because of the result. My name's not here."
"Eh?" Both girls looked at the bulletin board, "you're right...he's not here," Sam said.
"I failed the term exam," Jean released a disappointed-aura.
Kirsten laughed, "wow, you haven't improved since Sam taught you, huh?"
Sam elbowed her, "not helping, Kirsten," she glares.
"Sorry, sorry," she chuckles.
Sam looks up at the bulletin board again, "you got rank 5, Kirsten. Congratulations."
"Thanks," Kirsten looks over at Jean who stood there, frozen and speechless. She pokes him, "hey, you dead yet?"
"Maybe his soul came out of his body," Sam whispered.
"You're right. Let's go ahead, Sam."
"Mmm-hmm!" Sam nodded, leaving Jean half-dean while standing.
==o==o==o==o==
"Eh? Mr M already came home from Japan?" Kirsten asked as she pulled a chair for her to sit.
Sam nodded, "Dad even stayed over the night. I wish Mom can come pick him up or something."
"Who's Mr M?" Jean asked.
Kirsten smiled nervously, "Sam's dad."
"Why do you call him Mr M? Isn't Sam's dad supposed to be called Mr B since he's Mr Blanc?"
Sam smiled, "because my dad's first name is Michael," she lied. "If Jean fins out that my real surname is Martindale, then he'll know that I'm the daughter of the dean!"
"I see," Jean replied simply as he returned his attention to the menu.
Kirsten and Sam sighed as they notice a boy approaching them. They both looked up from their menus.
"I'll have a slice of Fairy Cake with milk, please," Jean grinned.
Luke frowned as he took down the order. He turns to the girls, "what do you want?"
"So much for 'service with a smile'," Sam commented.
Kirsten put down her menu, "Blueberry Cheesecake for me and cancel out his milk," she smiled.
"Hey," Jean protested, "I want mi--"
"I'll have a Strawberry Parfait," Sam said with a frown, "with Jasmine Tea."
"Alright." Luke left as quickly as possible.
--
A few minutes later, the door swung open and there, stood a young lady with Golden princess-like hair that had curls at the ends. She stood like a princess with one foot behind the other. Her hands were folded on her chest as she stepped into the shop. Students lined up behind her as her 'servants'. The students in the shop gasped a little and started whispering.
"Welcome," Luke said boredly as the princess-like girl entered. He stared at her without any interest, "may I help you?"
"Hey, you! Don't talk to Lady Antoinette so casually!" a boy with glasses and black hair pointed at Luke. He turned to the girl, "I'm so sorry, Lady Antoinette," the boy apologized.
"It's fine with me, Dominique," she said princess-like. She turned to Luke, "I'm sorry for my servant's rudeness," she chuckled.
"Servant?!"Luke thought.
"I'm Antoinette Estelle, freshman just like you, from the Superior Department," she smiled sweetly.
Luke frowned, "right," he stared at her blankly, "what will you have, miss?"
"Call her 'Lady Antoinette', lowly servant!" the four-eyed boy exclaimed again.
"Dominique, behave yourself," Lady Antoinette angrily said.
The four-eyed kid bowed, "I'm sorry, my lady."
She looks up to Luke, "what a shame, Luke. I heard the news about your company's bankrupt. Is your father alright?"
Luke looked away, "he's fine, I think. May I take your order now?"
"Such pity," she added, this time, it was sarcasm, "I do wish he returns back what he owes to the other companies."
Luke remained silent.
"Who is this woman?!" Sam whispered angrily, "she's being sarcastic with Luke."
Jean yawned, "that's Antoinette Estelle from the Superior division. Supposedly, she was to be admitted in the Excellent division because she's a bright student. For some reason, I heard, she backed down."
Kirsten stared at Jean, "why do you know so much about this girl?"
"I like her," he admitted, "she has this superiority aura."
"All she has is a spoiled aura," Sam whispered.
"Yeah, she's pretty spoiled, huh?" Kirsten added.
Jean shrugged, "can't blame her. Her step-father is a military leader and the government pays her father with high wage."
"They're pretty rich?" Kirsten asked.
"You could say that," he nodded.
Sam frowned, "she has a lot of servants, huh?"
"No, actually, those students that follows her everywhere are the sons and daughters of the government officials that owe her dad," Jean folds his arms, "they're just sucking up to her."
"And that Dominique guy?" Kirsten asked.
Jean stares at them, "Dominique is her half-cousin. His family owes a lot to the Estelle family that's why he's being that robotic."
Suddenly, Antoinette sat on the table next to them. Her followers left her and stood outside like a look-out bodyguards.
"Here you go, guys," Luke suddenly appeared handing them their orders.
Sam looked up to Luke, "a-are you okay?"
Luke blushed, "I'm fine. Don't worry about it."
Kirsten glared at the blushing boy, "don't get over-excited just because Sam's worried about you, idiot," she hugged her best friend.
"I'm not," Luke rolled his eyes.
Suddenly, Sam's face turned pale.
"Hey, what's wrong, Sam?" Kirsten asked.
Sam looked around, "I felt someone glaring at me...," her eyes landed on Lady Antoinette who sipped her tea, acting as if she was innocent.
--
"Weird...," Kirsten mumbled.
Sam nodded, "indeed."
They stared at the drunk Jean. He hiccuped and stared at the girls with whirled eyes.
"Angel Cake contains milk...?" Sam suggested.
Kirsten nodded, "maybe."
Suddenly, Jean stood up and walked towards the table beside theirs. He sat across Lady Antoinette, who was reading a book.
"H-Hey, princess -hic-," he smiled.
Lady Antoinette sat back in disgust, "excuse me?"
"I'm so sorry."
Sam suddenly pulled Jean up and pushed him towards Kirsten who pulled him away from the table. Kirsten dragged him to the comfort room and practically drowned the drunkard's face over the sink filled with cold water mercilessly.
"I'm so sorry, Lady Antoinette," Sam smiled at her.
Lady Antoinette glared at her, "oh, you're Samantha Blanc, are you not?"
"Yes, that's me."
Lady Antoinette sipped her tea, "I heard you're pretty close with Luke Van Drie."
"Not really...," she blushed a little.
Lady Antoinette looked up to Sam, who stood straight in front of her. Her green eyes stared at Sam coldly, "do you like him?"
"Eh?"
Suddenly, Lady Antoinette grabbed Sam's wrist and pulled Sam towards her, purposely knocking over the table and chair as Sam landed on top of the princess-like girl. Lady Antoinette screamed as if being harmed.
The whole shop had their attention at the two girls.
Sam's eyes widened as she realized that she landed on top of the 'defenseless' lady. Both her arms against the floor, supporting her up.
"This girl is mad!" Lady Antoinette screamed.
Sam stumbled into the dinning room. She looked up and was surprised to see her stupid father eating breakfast cheerfully as Ian served him tea.
