Cotton Mather is a powerpop band from Austin, Texas formed in 1991. With their strong vocal harmonies and accessible melodies, they have drawn comparisons to the Beatles, Squeeze, and Guided By Voices. This CD is out of print and hard to find. These guys are really good, I recommend them highly!
Band:
Whit Williams - Guitar, Vocals
Greg Thibeaux - Drums, Percussion, Guitar, Vocals
Matt Hovis - Bass Guitar
Robert Harrison - Vocals, Guitar, Piano

What a great album! In 1994, I wasn't in Texas and wasn't paying much attention to current music. Boy, did I miss out on this one! Thanks for hosting it and for making you recommendation sound so appealing. ;)

I thought I'd never get to hear this again! I was in Houston when this came out, and "Lost My Motto" stayed in my head for at least six full months. It sounds perfect. Great job!
