The qutub minar is the tallest brick minaret. It is situated in qutub complex, delhi, india, approximately 15 km from new delhi railway station. Indian ruler qutub-ud-din aibak commenced the construction in 1193 but could only completed its base. Then his successor altamash, added three more stories and in 1386, firoz shah tughlaq constructed the fifth and the last storey.
